Our Independence Day!

I rarely do color in my house, but it just seemed appropriate for the upcoming
holiday. This is a vignette that I put together for our back porch entrance
into the house. I had another one made before this one with buttons strewn
about etc. but it looked too "busy" to me so I started over and am pleased
 how this turned out.

{just noticed the banner is a little wonky off to the left. It was "hung up"
on the string , but it is okay now. YOU just can't tell it! HA!}

{ I printed out my free USA banner here }

I added this vintage American Singer book that I picked up at a thrift store a year or two ago.

Don't you just love this print? I found it online also.

{ I printed it here }

Loving my white fabric with white stars...you know ME and white!

One nation UNDER GOD indivisible with liberty and justice for all!

{ I set the time to 4 o'clock in honor of the "4th" }

I have also had these vintage red, white and blue buttons for quite some time.
Very appropriate here don't you agree?

It would be nice if this candle had a "4" on it, but it didn't. And so it goes...:)

I pray that you all have a wonderful time celebrating our Independence Day
this year. What a great moment in history!

I love AMERICA and I am
 PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

Snail Mail Love ~

I have received a few labors of love in the mail lately that I wanted to share with you.

I won't tell you the names of the people who sent them...they can do that if they want,
but needless to say each one came at just the perfect time when I needed a lift.

God is amazing like that isn't He? He knows just what we need and when.
He LOVES to give us the desires of our heart!

I received two beautiful hearts just this past week. It was a joy to open the package
and see how lovely it was packed and with a beautiful note also.

I also received these beautiful rhinestone embellishments awhile ago. I inquired of a blog friend where
she had purchased them so I could get some and the next thing I know these arrived in the mail!

I love the handmade heart also.

The timing on each gift was PERFECT.

My wish for you today is peace,  love and all the
 amazing blessings that God sends just when we need them!

Hugs~

and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him

Beautiful June!

One of the reasons I LOVE the month of June is because of the beautiful
peonies that make their appearance year after year.

Can you stand more photos of these gorgeous flowers?
I have noticed quite a few posts in
blog land of these beauties and I understand why.
Although their bloom time is short and the flowers fade fast, they are one of
the most gorgeous flowers E.V.E.R.

I have taken hundreds of photos of them in the past week or two.

Different shades of pink and thousands of tiny petals that unfurl at just the right time.

I watch my peony busy down at the other end of the property like a hawk and
I run out and cut the new ones that appear each day. I have to make them last
just as long as I possibly can.

This particular peony had this

ONE LONE FLOWER

on the bush.

I am sure by the time this post is over you will be on peony overload! ha!

I took photos inside and outside and every which way.

In tall vases and small vases and all colors of vases.

You have to admit that these are AMAZING flowers.

This particular day I was needing a vase and spied two giant Eiffel Tower mugs that my
daughter gave me for part of my birthday gift.

I grabbed one , added water and it was just perfect!

Peonies in the dining room too!

I do hope you enjoyed my peony tour. I can post pics forever, but I will give you a break. lol !!
Happy Wednesday!

Celebrating Pink and Peonies ~

I woke up today to a sink full of beautiful peonies!!

 Hubby kept trying to lure me out of bed this morning by
saying that I better pick my peonies before it rained and I just kept laying in bed. When I finally
decided to get up and plodded to the kitchen my eyes lit up when I saw these beauties!!  He had
gone to our local town {3 miles away} and picked these on the way home. {they were in a ditch of all
places!} How does that happen! Not by a house, but just growing in the ditch. We saw them last
 night, but didn't stop. I whined around a bit when we got home for him to go and pick me some,
 but I told him he didn't have to. I was tired and so was he!  HA!

I had forgotten all about them!! SO... I was thrilled when I saw
 these this morning. {along with a maple frosted cinnamon roll with nuts on top}

{He picked the ones in the large white vase and the others are from our bushes here}

Who wouldn't be thrilled to wake up to these beauties??!!

This is a table on my front porch. Sorry for the "slant" of the pic!

I have fun moving things around all summer long out here.  I need to put something
in that birdcage yet, but not sure what. Maybe some ivy...I do have some that I
haven't planted yet.

I just noticed I haven't gotten rid of the pinecones from over the winter!
Guess I better get right on that. :)

I took photos of peonies inside and outside and every which way while they still look nice.

I love them on my pallet tray, don't you?

In my humble opinion I think everyone should have peonies growing in their garden.
They don't last long, but they are so worth the show they put on for a brief time.
I love them!

Happy JUNE everyone!
