Christmas Past ~

Oh, the charming photos from Christmas past...

When we were young most of us probably wished
that they didn't exist, but now that we are
older and wiser
we cherish them...as we should ~
My sister on the left and yours truly on the right
{didn't know it back then, but mom was stylin' with
shabby aqua colors...lol}
I have that star topper on my tree today~
This photo says it all... my mom loved to curl our hair! {and...I still have this red dress. how special is that } Isn't this one a winner?? yep...me sitting down. What I would give to have that adorable little pink table now!

Definitely precious memories of growing up and knowing every day that I was so loved. I thank God daily for that assurance that every child deserves and needs. There was never a doubt and we never had to wonder. My sister, brother and I were very loved.

Thank you so much mom and dad from the bottom of my heart! Blessings~

  1. Good morning, Sandi! Thank-you for sharing these sweet photos and memories! I feel the same about my growing up--I always knew, and still know, everyday that I was loved. We are very lucky! I'm so enjoying sharing my "vintage" family photos, too--fun to do!

    Hope you have a beautiful December day!

  4. Those old-timey pictures are precious! And what a sweet remembrance of how loving your parents were to you! LOL, I remember those Toni perms so well. I wanted to run and hide whenever my mom got after me for another curing episode.

  6. G'morn sweet Sandi ~ These pics bring back memories ... not much survived we 5 kids.

    I remember when our neighbor did a white tree with aqua ornies ... everyone was aghast! it wasn't traditional at that time. And, look now, it is everywhere. Chuckle.

    Hope things are coming along nicely ... hugs of love, Marydon

  11. Your wonderful post gave me goosebumps! It was so touching and lovely. Beautiful photographs from Christmas past. What wonderful memories! The colorful clothes that were worn years ago. We used Toni perm rods for one school picture so I looked like Shirley Temple that year. :) Blessings to you and yours! Tammy
