Birds, birds and more birds...OH MY ~

we tore apart some old windows a few years ago
and made a few of these birdfeeders
for us and for gifts ~

hubby put this one out a few days ago and
filled it with bird seed ~ then he stood inside our back porch and took pictures through the window~ cardinals and turtle doves look how fat the one turtle dove is !
blue jays~
more turtle doves ~
look at the blue jay in the middle
he has a seed in his beak !
fluttering wings~
perched in the tree ~
we had a wonderful time bird watching
and we were reminded once again:

"behold the birds of the heavens, they sow not,
neither do they reap, nor gather into barns:
and your heavenly Father feedeth them. are you not
much more valuable than they? "
Matthew 6:26

The Christmas one was just wonderful... SOOOOOSOOOOO expensive however.... It is a true treat to myself.... I will not continue to get them all however...but I bet I have picked it up 35 times and sat and looked at it.... Have a good evening... I am going to watch the movie tonight " THE WRONG MAN" that is a premire.....on dish channels

  6. Great feeder, I just love bird watching and we have a bunch, but we also have tons of squirrels, so I have to put out enough for everyone. So fun to see them all.

  8. I don't feed the birds any more because we have a feral cat that lives in the yard and it wouldn't be fair. Here the bird seed also attracts rats...YUCK! When I had a feeder we would see them at dusk come down the tree and into the feeder. I really enjoyed watching the birds and still miss it. I love your feeder. What a great idea!

  13. Sandi I have missed some wonderful posts here at your place. I love the birdie friends you have made. I can't believe how many different kinds you get to visit. I don't think Idaho must be on these guys way, as I don't see many of these here. But then I see that they are all hangin' out at your place.
    hugs

  14. You have such a wonderful variety of birds visiting your feeder. The pictures are wonderful. I loved seeing the splash of red from the cardinal in a couple of the pictures!
