I wanted to share this adorable image with you and intended to get it up on New Year's Day , but since we were out of town that didn't happen. The message printed on this vintage card says, " Old year gave us joy and pain, many a loss and many a gain, Good bye, Good bye, Old year! A Brand New Year Ahead ~ 2009

"be-lieve...to have a firm religious faith , to accept as true , genuine or real..."

I definitely have a firm religious faith and belief that God will uphold us in the New Year, come what may. With so many uncertainties in the world right now that is really all we can do. I rest assured knowing that God is in control all the time and I look forward to what the New Year has to offer.

I was also thinking of New Year's resolutions. I am really not a big fan of those, but there are a couple I would like to aspire to this year:

To be more kind and to have more patience ( I find myself getting very impatient when waiting in a long grocery line or in a line of traffic ) Have you heard the saying, "Lord give me patience and give it to me now"? LOL I really want and need to take the time to slow down and smell the roses and I pray that I can accomplish that in this new year...or at least give it a good try!
