Daddy...Let's go fly my kite...up to the highest height...

Let's go fly *my* kite and send it soaring Up through the atmosphere...
up where the air is clear...
Oh, let's go fly *my* kite!
With tuppence for paper and strings
You can have your own set of wings
With your feet on the ground
You're a bird in a flight
With your fist holding tight
To the string of your kite

When you send it flyin' up there
All at once you're lighter than air
You can dance on the breeze
Over 'ouses and trees
With your fist 'olding tight
To the string of your kite

Oh, oh, oh! Let's go fly *my* kite
Up to the highest height!
Let's go fly *my* kite and send it soaring
Up through the atmosphere
Up where the air is clear
Let's go fly *my* kite!
I love that song that Julie Andrews sings from Mary Poppins.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with our son
and his family Sunday. Annika has been wanting to
fly her kite and it was a good day. She loved it
as you can tell by the expression on her face.
Memories in the making...

Go out and do something spontaneous and fun today...
better yet...go fly a kite!

Family Heirloom Valentines ~

I have always been the *SAVER* in the family and I love that I have valentines that were my grandmothers, my mothers and mine. I just had to share a few pictures with you. The valentines in the first picture are valentines that my mother made when she was very young for my grandmother. My mother will be 71 years old in February so these are oldies! The next few are valentines that were given to my mother in grade school . The little elephant is moveable and just adorable ~
Okay...not my finest moment in arts and crafts , but this is a turtle valentine that I made my mother when I was very young ~
Valentines that I received as a child in 1961~

I hope you enjoyed reminiscing with me! Have a wonderful day! Blessings! Sandi
