A little redecorating ~

A little vignette on my antique oak buffet
that I put together this week.
I hit the jackpot this week at the Goodwill.
I found a vintage scrabble game that had six wood trays and lots of numbers and letters.
I was thrilled to find it. I can always use more trays
and letters in my vignettes.

It still needs some tweaking and maybe some added height, but
so far it is what it is until I figure out what else to.

Blessings~ Sandi

Paper Roses ~

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet

I always feel like I should be doing something while watching TV so last night I decided to get out some tissue paper and try my hand at making paper roses. I just cut strips of tissue paper, gathered one edge and started rolling...I love how they turned out. I did get better the more I made. First I was trying to keep the tissue paper all straight on the edges and not let it bend, but the more I made I found if you let it curl over here and there like it wants to do then they look more realistic...
I truly hope you have a beautiful day....blessings ~

Spring Cloche ~

Cloche ~ pronounced (klōsh) 1. a bell shaped cover used to protect young plants (or to decorate with...LOL ) I knew I wanted to do something different with my large cloche so I tackled that project last night and this is what I came up with. I may do a little tweaking on the ribbon etc. , but I wanted to get this posted before we run off today. I used a real birds nest and dried hydrangeas off my bush. I have it sitting on an old vanity that is inside the door of my entry way. I do hope you enjoy my *LITTLE TOUCH OF SPRING*... Blessings ~
