Snail Mail Love ~

I have received a few labors of love in the mail lately that I wanted to share with you.

I won't tell you the names of the people who sent them...they can do that if they want,
but needless to say each one came at just the perfect time when I needed a lift.

God is amazing like that isn't He? He knows just what we need and when.
He LOVES to give us the desires of our heart!

I received two beautiful hearts just this past week. It was a joy to open the package
and see how lovely it was packed and with a beautiful note also.

I also received these beautiful rhinestone embellishments awhile ago. I inquired of a blog friend where
she had purchased them so I could get some and the next thing I know these arrived in the mail!

I love the handmade heart also.

The timing on each gift was PERFECT.

My wish for you today is peace,  love and all the
amazing blessings that God sends just when we need them!

Hugs~

Just a little love...

I have been doing a little creating and three one of a kind tags are the latest items that
I have come up with.

~ Blessings ~

~ Key to my heart ~

~ Love...Amour ~

I had fun making these tags, but the whole kitchen was in utter chaos while
I was working on them. Glitter, fabric, embellishments ...everywhere! lol

Just sharing a little love with you before the big day arrives. :)

Have a wonderful Thursday ~

The landscape of summer

I suppose technically summer doesn't arrive until June 20, but it sure looks like summer
around these parts. I love to visit the greenhouses at the very first chance I get and I
know for a lot of us it was earlier this year than ever. I planted several things in clay
pots this year and I love the look.

My chives always put on a good show and I enjoy it every year.

This is the path leading up to our back door. I wish I had some before photos because this area was
nothing but rocky soil when we moved in over 30 years ago. I wonder if I have any photos lurking
around. I will have to go on a hunt. :)

My mother gave me this purple flowered plant for Mothers Day. It might be called
*million bells* , but I don't remember for sure. I added it to this pail along with some
white allysum.

I have shown you my front porch before, but here we go again.  I was tossing around the idea of
painting the floor white  , but I just don't think it will look right ...do you? I would love to replace
the screen door with an old wooden chippy white door that I have in the potting shed, but I
haven't even mentioned it to hubby yet...don't think he will quite understand. LOL

Geraniums and vinca hanging out together.

I LOVE ferns on my porch in the summer!! I may just have to get a couple more next time
I get to the greenhouse.

I found this old crate in my potting shed and decided to bring it out. I wanted to add
some asparagus fern to it as well, but I haven't gotten that far yet.

We made the mistake years ago of putting two brackets for hanging baskets on our posts.
We didn't realize until later that the person walking up the step would whack their head on
the basket so right now I have wind chimes hanging on it. I am thinking about putting
it on the other side of the post, but then I think it would hide my fern...oh my what is
a girl to do?? hee hee

Happy Tuesday and enjoy your day!!

Roses and peonies

Before we get to the roses and peonies I have a
question. Is it time to change my blog header? I still love it, but I also have noticed that so many
other people change theirs up quite often and I
don't want to end up having a boring blog that no one
wants to visit...so is it time for a change?? Please let me know what you think. :)

{with that being said I just purchased calling cards

that has my current blog header on them}

This is my one and only peony bloom of the whole season
so I had to get some mileage out of her.

The pictures are kinda out of order as this one
was taken when she was "on her way out" and
her petals were starting to droop.

Peony in blue glass with plain background

and peony in a vignette

Also, my beautiful old fashioned roses in
different settings. How do you like the contrast
of the china bowl and rust?

In a small pitcher close up

Or in a wooden box out on the deck

If you could smell this fragrance you would
want to bottle it and keep it forever.
Yes, they smell that good!

I wanted to take a break today from all the
french pretties and show you some of my flowers
so I hope you enjoyed them.

Blessings~

Spur of the moment fun

I have spent the past few days working on these signs
and today was made for playing!

I thought I was pretty much done making these,
but they started selling very well in my space at the
antique mall so I went ahead and made a few more.

I intended to go to my booth today and suspend a ladder
overhead and decorate it, but it was much too hot
and muggy so...we had a spur of the moment
change of plans.

Hubby asked "do you want to go to Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti??? {a 1 and 1/2 hour drive one way}
well... yes...absolutely...I would !
{don't have to ask me twice to visit my favorite stores}

So we spent the afternoon at Home Goods, TJ Maxx,
JoAnn Fabric and Michaels.

Hubbs also went to his favorite hobby shop and we purchased
him another RC Plane for his birthday which is this
coming Saturday. I can't believe he will be 54 years old.
He thinks it is just great. He keeps telling me
*I will be able to eat off Bob Evans senior menu soon*.
What a hoot!

I hope you had a fun day today too! Blessings~

PS I did get a few goodies which I will share soon. :)
