Before and After...which do you like best?

I finished this piece yesterday and was pleased
with how it turned out.

I received my Vintage Charm magazine a few days
ago and in it was a tutorial from Gail Schmidt over at Shabby Cottage Studio to make one of these cuties. I had always wanted to do something with a cheese tray
and dome because they tend to be found at resale shops
quite often.

Here it was in it's former life...

somehow it just didn't do a thing for me in this state.lol. But it does now... Enjoy the day ~

  21. Glad you took care of the dome base, it is wonderful now. I have one of those smaller domes as well with a bird in it also. I like the tie and and saying on that, a nice finishing touch.

  22. Ohhh, Sandi. This turned out absolutely fabulously! I really love the music on the bottom of the plate. I think I am going out to pick up one today that I saw in our local thrift shop (if it is still there). I ordered that magazine, too. I didn't know there would be tutorials in it. Yippee!
