Family times are always fun!

I LOVE it when the granddaughters come over and I get to snap a few photos.
Some don't turn out too great because those girls are FAST movers, but I managed
to get a few cute shots this time.

Ainsley loves her kitty Maeve. We took Maeve and Merida {sister cats} in when
their family moved away for a year, but they are back now and they love to visit
Maeve. {sadly Merida has passed on}

Here kitty...

Ainsley loving on Maeve and she is taking it all in.

This is Merida's grave. You can't see it in this photo, but the girls colored
rocks to lay beside the stone. They miss her, but thankfully they still have Maeve.

A fun stop at Steak and Shake one weekend. Annika appears to be deep in thought.
LOVE those freckles!

This photo and the rest were taken with my cell phone so they aren't too great quality,
but I wanted to include them.

Ainsley always has a smile!

This is right before we went Putt-putt golfing. I was trying to get the girls to
stand still for a photo and they just started acting goofy, running all around
and this is what we ended up with. ha!. Annika's expression cracks me up!

Loving the family times that we thought we going to be few and far between , but their family has
returned and we are loving it.

What is not to love right???

Have a blessed week ahead!

Booth beauty, a MOUSE and a brownie!

Just to put your minds at ease,  the mouse did not eat the brownie, but we will get to that
 later. lol

A few weeks ago when we visited my daughter and her family,  I stopped at the Memories
antique mall by Fenton, Michigan again. I always love to visit there because there are a couple
booths that I just love and these first few photos are from one of them.

Can you believe that I walked out of there and didn't purchase one thing?? I KNOW!
I had just purchased several items at the Peacock Park sale and I had to be good.

The lady who has this booth always has such wonderful items and displays so I had
to capture it in pictures once again.

Just look at all the amazing and lovely white treasures!

She sure has a knack for displaying her items beautifully!

Love this olive oil soap and the dish it sets in.

A neat way to display old linens. I love old hangers and I have several in my stash.
I need to get them out and do this. :)

Okay...now we are to the brownie part...I made these brownies a week or two ago and they
were sooooooo yummy!! I just mix up a regular brownie mix , put it in the pan and add
dollops of peanut butter and then bake it. We love them this way and if you like peanut
butter and chocolate I think you will too!

I have been busy , busy, busy trying to get things made for a craft show that I am going to be in
and although things are not moving along at warp speed I am getting some treasures finished.

I found these nests  with the eggs inside on clearance after Easter. They were brown and of course
I sprayed them white and added some Martha Stewart Tinsel glitter. Love how they turned out!!

Now on to the story about the MOUSE.  Our two granddaughters Annika and Ainsley
{little gal in these pics}were at our house last week and we were in the living room playing
with toys when we saw a mouse run around the room. Of course it startled me so
 I screeched...well kinda...ha ha!

Of course that got the girls all excited and Ainsley wanted to literally jump in my arms so I
rescued her and we tip-toed into the dining room and watched the mouse run into the kitchen
and then on into the bathroom.  Ainsleys eyes were wide and she kept saying, *BUG ,BUG*
and pointing. It was just too cute!

These pictures are her trying to tell her gpa all about it when he got in the house. It was so
precious!! She got her face so close to his and kept whispering about the mouse. I told him
to keep her talking while I ran and got the camera and thankfully it worked!!!!! She just
went on and on. I just love her facial expressions that I captured! The above photo almost
looks like she is kissing him, but she isn't...she is just whispering. :)

"oh , paw paw we saw a mouse"...
don't you just love her little hands on his face. :)

Then she had to point and show him where it ran off to. So glad I got these special
moments to keep!

Last , but not least...my little vase of violas. I was outside this past week cleaning up
my gardens and found a few of these flowers still blooming so I had to pick them.

I sure hope I can keep in touch. I think my computer is on it's last breath, but I am
praying that it limps along for another year...think that will happen?? ha!!

Happy weekend everyone!!!!

Winter ONEderland party!

12.10.2011 little Ms. Ainsley celebrated her very first birthday and of course we were there to help celebrate. It was her Winter ONEderland party and she had a grand time.

This is the beautiful cake that Ainsley's daddy made and her mommy decorated. Chocolate cake with strawberries between the layers and strawberry frosting. It was soooo good! In face I just ate a huge piece that I brought home. :)

Marshmallows and a little snowman that Ainsley's mommy made. Too cute!!

The birthday girl!

Ainsley was much more interested in playing with the boxes and paper than she was opening her gifts. This box was pretty well smooshed by the time she got done crawling all over it and standing on it. Thankfully it was not breakable. :)

Annika got Ainsley a cute little ornament for her birthday.  I think she had just as much fun as Ainsley did and it was a beautiful party for our precious little granddaughter.

THEN...
Friday evening my older sister was blessed with her first grandchild...a little boy named Greyson Matthew. She was a nervous wreck living in PA and her daughter giving birth in Alabama. We stayed in touch via facebook and I didn’t go to bed until about 1 am Saturday. I was sooooo tired. At one point she put on facebook, “PLEASE pray for Megan...Greyson is being stubborn”...the next post was “they are prepping Megan for a C-section”. She did end up having a C-section, but mommy and baby are doing just fine and my sister is heading for Alabama tomorrow.

He just missed being born the 10th. {He would have been born the 10th if Alabama was not a hour behind us} Had that happened we would have FOUR family members with birthdays on the 10th , but it was not to be. My sister , Ainsley and my niece LaShawn all celebrated birthdays yesterday and it was a grand day for all!

Every once in awhile...

...I have to share new pictures of my grandkiddos with you.

Sweet Annika at 3 years old...almost 4.

Baby Ainsley looks like she is smiling.
I had a great time with her and Annika for a few
days this week. My son goes back to work next week
so I am back to the grindstone too. lol.

Isn't she just the cutest??

The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

My oldest son's little ones. Keira is three years old and Kanaan is only nine months. He took several steps a few days ago. He is going to be moving fast real soon. No stopping him now! He is a little chunk and they call him *the monster*, but it is all done in fun because we love him to death!

My oldest son Jason with Kanaan. I forgot the whole family picture so I will have to share that another time. My son is so in love with his kids and you can tell it every time we are together. Thank God for loving and caring fathers!

{I have to say this too...one of the sweetest moments with Jason was right after he got married in 2003 and they were hugging us just after they pronounced them man and wife. He whispered in my ear , "I am married mom!" Such a sweet and precious moment.}

Beautiful baby Ainsley once again.

*Whatever they grow up to be , they are still
our children, and the one most important of all the
things we can give them is unconditional love.
Not a love that depends on anything at all except
that they are our children.*

I will leave you with one more quote:

One of life's greatest mysteries is how the
boy who wasn't good enough to marry your
daughter, can be the father of the smartest
grandchildren in the world!

Happy Weekend ahead and enjoy your families!

Ladies...I got nothin'...

...nada...zilch. I am running out of pretty pictures
to show you and things to blog about so I guess I need
to get my thinking cap on and start snapping photos.

Although...I did find this gorgeous picture below
of my beautiful sleeping granddaughter Ainsley.
{in her car seat}
She certainly is NOT nothing...she is definitely
something!

Isn't she so sweet? Reminds me of her daddy when
he was that age. Don't you just love the little ears
on her outfit? Cute!

One more thing... in case you all were wondering how to
find that popcorn that I blogged about a few days ago...
this is what the packages look like.

I had never had this cinnamon sugar before {but I literally inhaled the black and white drizzled}
I went to Walmart the other day and this is ALL they
had. No black and white and ONE bag of this so
I thought *oh why not*...now another kind I am
hooked on. lol

{and yes for those of you who asked it is
calorie free...well it may have a few of those
mean little calories, but worth every bite
I promise}

Now a chuckle for your day: A couple days ago I found a Reeses peanut butter
cup in my cupboard and I unwrapped it,
promptly threw away the candy and started to
eat the wrapper! I think I am losing it! hee hee Hoping you have a great Friday. I went on a
marathon shopping spree with my mom yesterday
and although I really didn't buy much, I am
exhausted so today is for resting I guess...
and maybe some creating.
Blessings~
