Making Memories - Carnival Part 1

Saturday we held a carnival for our grandchildren at our house and it was a rousing success. Of course hubby and I thought of ways we blooped and that it could have been better , but thankfully most of the kids were too young to even notice.  At first the weather was pretty iffy and after setting part of it up and then putting everything back inside the tent because of rain, the sun started shining again we were able to get it set up for a fun day.

Goodies bags for the grands prizes hanging on the fence. I got this idea offline, but will have to get that link later.

The gumball machine filled with skittles and runt candy was a HUGE hit.

Can't have a carnival without lots of treats .

Lots of prizes...

one of the games...this sign was printed online and I realized too late that is says,
Bottle ring toss...oh well! lol

My oldest son brought his popcorn machine and filled fun bags with popcorn.

Is this a fun photo or what?

My sweeties

The kids had so much fun playing games, getting faces painted along with tattoos.

Keira always has such a sweet smile on her face.

We drafted our daughter-in-law Colette to do the face painting and she did a great job!

Our son-in-law Matthew with his boys

Pretty little Ainsley and Kanaan

Our youngest son Nathan having fun too.

Hope you enjoyed sharing in our fun day... Part 2 installment coming soon...:)

Ladies...I got nothin'...

...nada...zilch. I am running out of pretty pictures
to show you and things to blog about so I guess I need
to get my thinking cap on and start snapping photos.

Although...I did find this gorgeous picture below
of my beautiful sleeping granddaughter Ainsley.
{in her car seat}
She certainly is NOT nothing...she is definitely
something!

Isn't she so sweet? Reminds me of her daddy when
he was that age. Don't you just love the little ears
on her outfit? Cute!

One more thing... in case you all were wondering how to
find that popcorn that I blogged about a few days ago...
this is what the packages look like.

I had never had this cinnamon sugar before {but I literally inhaled the black and white drizzled}
I went to Walmart the other day and this is ALL they
had. No black and white and ONE bag of this so
I thought *oh why not*...now another kind I am
hooked on. lol

{and yes for those of you who asked it is
calorie free...well it may have a few of those
mean little calories, but worth every bite
I promise}

Now a chuckle for your day: A couple days ago I found a Reeses peanut butter
cup in my cupboard and I unwrapped it,
promptly threw away the candy and started to
eat the wrapper! I think I am losing it! hee hee Hoping you have a great Friday. I went on a
marathon shopping spree with my mom yesterday
and although I really didn't buy much, I am
exhausted so today is for resting I guess...
and maybe some creating.
Blessings~

Apple Orchard Visit

We visited an apple orchard while at my daughter's
last weekend and I was able to snap a few photos to
share with you. Don't you just love all these cute
tiny pumpkins and gourds?

Larger white pumpkins for purchase...
they need a bath! lol

Loved this assortment of pumpkins/squash. My granddaughter thought some looked like they were covered with peanut shells.

I brought this greenish/yellowish one on the left side of the photo home with me. I think it is some type of squash, but I just loved the shape.

lovely produce

Hubby and son-in-law tasted the cheese, but I passed. I am sure it was yummy though.

organic popcorn

assorted honey sticks in many flavors for 25 cents each

of course we can't forget the apples! lol

pretty pot sitting outside

GD Allysha, GS Jon and DH on the hay ride we
went on. It was raining so it was nice they had a tarp
over the top!

The driver was supposed to stop at the pumpkin
patch and let us pick one out , but that didn't happen
for some reason so we just picked out a prepriced one
when we got back.
It was a very fun day despite all the rainy icky weather.
Hope you enjoyed your tour !

Oh yes, I missed photos of the most important part. lol.
They make donuts right there at the orchard and of
course we purchased some. They were delish!!

Blessings~
