Cookies, chips and crackers

I wanted to share some information with you that I think you just need to know. :)  I purchased these tiny heart shaped lemon cookies at a cute little pastry shop Walmart! I think they should be at a cute little pastry shop instead of a big box store, but nevertheless that is where they were found. They have a whole line of these cookies and crackers that are *a taste of* and these are a *taste of France*. I found out when I got home and opened the box that they are also infused with dried lavender.  They are delicious!

This is the box that you will want to hunt down in the cooker/cracker aisle, but please no tackling other customers to get to them. I think they will have plenty on hand for everyone. :)

Next on my must have list are these potato chips. Olive Oil and Rosemary! I absolutely love most anything made with Rosemary so when I found these at TJ Maxx several months ago I had to try them. I have been buying them ever since, but it is hit and miss and sometimes they are hard to find. {for petes sake why am I telling you then?? :} All natural with the only ingredients being potatoes, olive oil, rosemary and sea salt.

Last , but not least are these Westminster Crackers.  We ate these crackers somewhere { I think maybe Cracker Barrel...that makes sense doesn't it?} in individual packages and they are the best saltines I have ever tasted so I was happy to find them at Home Goods yesterday as well.  They are made with seven all natural ingredients. You can also check them out at http://www.westminstercrackers.com/

Yep these little cookies are soooooo good...please let me know if you try any of these and what you think.
...and now for the very best part...they are ALL made in the U.S.A!!! YAY!

I have been bitten!

I know...I can't believe it myself, but the creativity bug
has finally bitten!! I actually sat down this morning
and finished up these french lavender sachets that I
started several days ago. I do love how they turned
out and they are now in my Etsy store. If you don't
do Etsy just give me a shout out. :)
{I do have more sachets than I have listed if you
need more as well}

I tend to get carried away taking photos.

I made three different styles.

I embellished them with crinkle ribbon and paper tags for a little something extra.

Little sachets all hanging out together...hee hee.
Happy Thursday! Blessings~

Some recent finds and around the house

Oh my goodness!
It is sooooo hot here. Supposed to
hit 102 degrees today with a heat index that is
much higher. I will be very thankful when the heat lets
up as it is hard to do anything at all in this weather.
I have been mostly staying indoors except for yesterday
when I ran off for a haircut, pick up a prescription and to
buy my hubby some food/drink for work.

Looks like another day of pretty much the same so I
have been paying bills online , a little laundry and
staying inside! Our little air conditioner is working
it's heart out. We ususally run it at night and then turn
it off during the day because it stays pretty nice in here
with fans etc., but I haven't shut it off yet today from
last night. Just too hot!

Remember the antique booth I went to several weeks
ago and got my french items? I also purchased these two
candles in the same booth. Aren't they pretty?

My favorite corner and lampshade again

some of my old dried hydrangeas in a birdcage

Last week I headed up to the antique mall where I
used to have my booth and spotted some sidewalk
sales so I stopped back at them on the way
home. There is a very nice upscale home store and
that is where I purchased most of my items including
the dried lavender laundry sachet above. It is a nice
large size. You throw it in the dryer for a nice
lavender scent...haven't tried it yet. :)

I also found this burlap pillow cover for $2.00!! Can't beat that. Now I just need to get a pillow form
for it.

Then I picked up two linen stockings with the initials
*S* on them. They had probably half a dozen or so
and they all had the same initial.

I hope you are having a good day today and if you
are in the midst of a heatwave like we are please stay
inside and be very careful if you do go out.
Also, please say a prayer for my hubby and son who
both are working in this awful weather.

Blessings~

Beautiful lavender sachets and minor disaster

Thanking God today and every day that we live in a nation
that is still free and that we can still worship God freely as
well. I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday. We had a
cookout at my parents house {wonderful time}, but then
it was right back home as hubby is replacing a small roof
on our home and he only has a few days to do it.

{it is the roof I was on top of this past winter shoveling
off!}

Speaking of the roof we had a small disaster that I will get to
in a bit, but before that...

I promised to show more of these beautiful lavender
sachets awhile ago and today is a perfect time.
I purchased these gorgeous pieces from
the bathing boutique
at the Flint Farmers Market.

They were made with vintage linens

and then embellished with printed images of beautiful victorian ladies.

I love each and every little detail.

hand stamped ribbon along with a rosebud
made out of fabric

They now reside on my bedpost and I love them there.

I also wanted to share a favorite shelf in my bedroom.
Can you believe it is chippy white? lol
Can never have too much of a good thing!

Believe it or not it is almost time for White Wednesday
again so be sure and visit Kathleen over at Faded Charm.

I am one tired grandma today. I had my little Ainsley
and Annika today while our youngest son helped hubby
with the roof. Never knew I could wear green beans
so well! ha! Ainsley loves to bat the spoon out of my
hand when I am feeding her. Yep...green bean
covered grandma here. :)

Now on to the disaster part of our roofing project.
As I said our youngest son has been helping and
yesterday he fell through the ceiling of my studio!
{rather his leg fell through}
I heard a terrible crash, went to investigate
and found a gaping hole. I started picking up
nails, a hammer, brackets and pieces of the ceiling
that had fallen down into the room.
I figured all was well and that it was just a misstep.
Then through the hole I hear my son moaning so
I ran outside and found him laying on the roof
just groaning and holding his head.
I yelled and asked if he was okay and really
didn't get an audible answer from him so I ran
to find my husband who was in the shop getting
some wood. I told him our son was hurt and he
dropped it and ran. LONGER story short...
son will be okay , but when he fell his one
leg went through the ceiling and the other
leg twisted behind him. Of course it had
to be his bad knee that he hurt at work a few
months ago. I felt so bad for him. His hip is also
sore, but all in all I am very thankful that it
wasn't worse!! He was here today again and
helped for several hours and thankfully no
mishaps today.

...and how was your weekend? :)

Blessings~

Come along with me to *The Bathing Boutique*

...a little slice of heaven inside Flint Farmers Market.

When we were visiting our daughter last weekend we went
to the Farmers Market again and I fell in love with this
amazing *bathing boutique*. I sure wish this was
closer to where I live because I would be a regular
customer!

I absolutely love this idea for display.
Old sewing machine drawers with a large drawer on top
and can you say white?? :)

I think these are just gorgeous! Wouldn't you love to
take a bath with one of these cupcake soaps?

Loving the tray they are setting on as well!

I thought her whole booth was done just perfect and oh so pretty! Makes me want to to take a bath right now!

I purchased a couple of these gorgeous lavender
sachets. I would have spent more, but we had
just come from Peacock Park where I had spent
my wad for the day! lol.

They are sooooo pretty. I would like to make
something similar, but first I have to drag out
the sewing machine.

{I will show them better in another post}

Lovely rose sachets

sachets in all shapes and sizes

I thought her vintage suitcase display was a great idea.

Angel face soap

After my first time around I came back for a second
look and talked to the owner more. I feel so bad that
I don't remember her name, but it kinda rhymed with
Sandi...Cindy? Mindy? Oh dear. I really enjoyed talking
to her. Definitely a kindred spirit!

Bath salts in beautiful display containers as well.
I just wanted to pull up a chair and sit here all day long!

Can I just say that I love to support people who make
lovely handmade items because I know the work involved
and then you hope that someone will love your things
as much as you do. Well I do love her items and can't
wait to go back!

If the owner is reading this please contact me with your
name...I feel like a dufus that I forgot.
Happy bathing!!!
