Part 2 of My BF's Beautiful Garden!

I promised you part two of my best friends beautiful place and I am delivering!

The first photo is at the entrance to her fabulous and totally weed free garden!
I don't know how she does it!
I would need a full time gardener and then some.
She is a Master Gardener though so maybe she has a secret??

OH, PEGGY??

Once again, sit back with a cup of coffee or lemonade and enjoy the pics!

Her hubby builds all her fences, arbors etc. Don't they look amazing?

I have decided that I want to be like her when I grow up!!
Don't you??!! ...SIGH

She found this wheelbarrow at a huge show that we went to in the Spring and it
fits in just perfectly. She does actually use it so she must not have a gardener?!

She comes up with the neatest ideas to keep critters away.
I don't have a garden that we actually eat food from. Mine is just flowers
so I admire her so much!!

LOVELY place that needs to be photographed for a magazine!
Anyone out there listening?? SMILE!

Dusted off my camera just in time!

I finally talked my bf Peggy into letting me take photos of her place!
I decided I better act before she changes her mind, so this week I took advantage of
the wonderful weather and take photos I did.

I took 192 photos or so! It has been quite awhile since I have even wanted to do a
photo shoot, but I had fun doing this one.

Her place is so immaculate {unlike mine}
Not a weed in sight {mine has weeds everywhere}
She even plants her flowers where they actually should go {I'm such a random planter!}
LOL...Get my drift??

She is a Master Gardener and it shows, but it looked like this even before
she became a MG! I just love it!

So, grab a cup of coffee or a glass of lemonade, sit back and enjoy the photos.

I had too many for one post so I will be doing another post soon.

Isn't this the cutest? I have had this idea in my "gardening file" for years, but she
actually made it a reality instead of just looking at a photo of it.
Somehow I am sure that is much more satisfying!

Isn't it AMAZING??!! I love these lights under the roof of her potting shed.
They are perfect here.

That's all for today, but you can see as I said...not a weed in sight!
Isn't her place gorgeous!!??

I sure wish I had her gumption OR a Master Gardener to come here and work for me...

HEY, PEGGY...!!!???

Lush July Flowers

My flowers haven't suffered too much in the heat that we have had in Michigan this year.
There really haven't been a lot of very hot days yet and I hope they don't come at all!  I also haven't
used any fertilizer at all this year except what came in the soil that I planted them in.
I think they look nice and lush for all the things I didn't do. :)

Every year I try to feed them liquid fertilizer through the hose, but just haven't had
the time and we have had a LOT of rain so I didn't need to either.

They have come a long way since I planted them back in May.
I can grow nice flowers outside , but can't grow anything inside to save my life! HA!

The fern is HUGE and so green. I always get it at the same place every year.
I have tried Walmart in the past and did not have good luck so I stick with
our local greenhouse.

I have an old wooden white screen door that I would love to replace this one with, but
haven't taken the time to measure it yet. Hopefully it will fit. It has spindles on it and
I got it FREE several years ago. Wouldn't that be nice if it fit just perfect??

I adore WHITE flowers...don't you?

I can't wait for my Sweet Autumn Clematis to flower this fall. I love it that it is
a late blooming plant so I can extend the beautiful floral season a bit more.

How is the weather where you are? Hot, rainy, cold, snowy? EEK! Snow
will be here soon enough.

Blessings~

Sharing my hydrangeas

I truly think the right name was picked for these hydrangeas!
I wonder how they come up with the names? They never ask me, I know that! lol

INVINCIBELLE SPIRIT...perfect fitting name for these gorgeous flowers!

From the day I planted them they have grown leaps and bounds every year.

I purchased them on clearance a few years ago for $5 a bush instead of $24.
I wish now that I had purchased every single one they had.

{Click on this link to read a great article of how these flowers came to be}
It is very interesting!

They grow tall and lush for me in my black Michigan soil.

The sun was really bright on the above photo thus it looks washed out.
They really are as bright as the previous photos.

Do you see a running theme in my flowers?
Lots of PINK...I love pink flowers.

I hope you are having a great week. The temps here are gorgeous for the next couple
days. Not too hot and not too cold. Just perfect.

I love summer when it isn't scorching hot!! I am not one for liking hot weather
at all. I guess it is a good thing that I don't live down south.

How are your flowers doing? I would love to know.

Vintage suitcases and Paper-whites...

...have absolutely nothing in common except that I took pictures of both today. ha!

{or maybe suitcases full of paper-whites?? How fun would that be!}

I love this bench that I purchased over a year ago from a dear blogging friend.

Isn't it amazing???

She is so uber talented and I just love her shop and all her goodies.

I have told her that it is a good thing that I don't live very close to her shop or I
would be in trouble!

I am also thinking as of late with all the vintage suitcases I now own
I should be traveling!! :)

PAPER-WHITES

I decided to plant some paper-whites today. Oh, I know everyone else is way ahead of me.
But...I love a bargain and a bargain these were!!
Marked wayyy down since it is after Christmas so I purchased a few and got to planting.

I'm kinda messy...shh, please don't tell anyone!

Three containers all planted up and ready for these babies to

GROW!

Wouldn't this be a fun way to give these as a gift?

I have always hated to throw out the pretty cardboard containers that some of them
come in so today I made tags out of them.

I would love these every year as a gift because it brings such a bright spot of spring to
the cold winter days.

I took a break shortly after I planted all my bulbs...a gal has to keep up her strength you know.
Yummy!!

Do you plant paper-whites?  I would love to hear about it.
I am not so sure about Amaryllis...I have some planted , but they don't
seem to be doing much. Time will tell.

I pray that each of you have a wonderful rest of the week and that abundant
blessings fill your life!

Blessings~
