Playing hide and seek

Do you ever feel like you are playing *hide and seek* when you are out and about looking for treasures?
I sure do! Somedays they are few and far between and other days they seem to be abundant. There are days when I want to stand in the middle of a antique mall and yell, "come out , come out wherever you are". lol.

I found a whole pile of these berry boxes at the Route 127 garage sales for 25 cents. Someone has painted several of them white , but it is glossy white. I may repaint them in a flat color. I found the tiny berry boxes in front of the other stacks at an antique store awhile ago. I L.O.V.E. the small sizes of these.

Loving this marked Nelson McCoy that I just picked up this past week for 2.99!  You know me. I love anything in creams and whites. The color was right and the price so I made it mine quickly.

I found this creamer and sugar at the Goodwill. The sugar is Grindley and the creamer is not marked, but again...right color and right price.

These two jars from France were found on the Route 127 garage sales a few weeks ago as well. I paid $1.00 for one and I think $1.50 for the other. I decided to use one for sugar and added the pretty silver spoon. I have a spoon somewhere that is bent so I could hang it over the wire bail, but do you think I can find it?? Noooooo...!

I have had quite a busy week so far. Yesterday I weeded a very large part of my flower beds. I couldn't just pull the weeds. It was one of those *get the shovel out and turn over the soil to get every weed out* kind of days. I also planted two invincible hydrangeas. {that was really the reason I started weeding in the first place} The tiny little pink flower you see in my photos is what they will look like. I can't wait till next year to see how they produce.  The plants were regular 24.88 each and on sale for $5.00! After weeding yesterday, moving some hollyhocks and digging out other plants, I   think I need a couple more of them!

Then when hubby got home I helped him some more on the soffit and fascia and weeded the front flower garden while I was out there. I have decided that I need a full time gardener. This is wearing me out!! :)

I hope you enjoyed my white finds today as I join Kathleen over at Faded Charm once again for our favorite day of the week...White Wednesday.  Here is to all of you  when you are seeking those wonderful goodies that they don't stay in hiding!

Weekend Treasures~

Sharing my treasures with you that I found this weekend within the four mile square of our house.
I love this pretty old vase with the pink floral design and I scored it for 50 cents.
I just broke a bowl like these a couple days ago so it was nice to find more in great condition...these are perfect for cereal, popcorn etc. $2.00 for all three ~
I LOVE these vases...the one on the left with the swirl pattern is McCoy and it is in perfect condition...$1.00 each for the vases ~ Wicker magazine rack for $1.00...couldn't pass it up ~
I have always loved vintage baby items too and this adorable toy was no exception so I happily plunked down the 50 cents asking price...they even rattle. Are they too cute or what ~
I hope you are having a lovely weekend ~
Blessings ~

Rearranging ~

I am in the mood to repaint, rearrange and spruce things up! I think it is this warmer weather that has gotten ahold of me. Spring is a time that I always want to dig out and purge my house.

These pictures are shots of my back porch that we enter before coming into the kitchen. I *LOVE* this paint color so I may have the same color mixed to repaint the walls. My son made the little wall cabinet several years ago. I am thinking of painting it white...
We just hauled our ugly looking deep freezer out to the garage and I put this table and chairs in it's place. It looks much nicer~
I love this table and chairs. This is my *MARTHA* set purchased at Kmart a few years ago. It had blue print cushions on it , but I changed them fast. LOLLove this basket of flowers ~
Don't look too closely or you will see holes patched in the wall. I thought I had more of this paint color and so I patched all the nail holes and went to get out the paint and I don't have any! LOL I was bummed ! This shelf goes full length above my washer and dryer. I want to take everything off and redecorate. It has been this way for too long. I will most certainly utilize some of the same decor as I am going to use what I have ~ Love this mirror! I purchased it at a garage sale several years ago for $1.00. Love it as is with it's chippy peely patina ~
I wanted to share this adorable little table with you. I purchased this at Home Goods
last year. I love the pink rose mosiac pattern~
I also found four of these chairs at a garage sale about 9 years ago for 50 cents each! That was some garage sale! They had prices so cheap and I got several items. Old pottery, old valentines,
vintage Christmas ornaments ...you name it they had it. I think the most I paid for anything
was $1.00 ! My kind of sale! Wish I could find them like that now. I remember the year because I was watching my first grandaughter and she was just learning to walk, but I schlepped her along and we did just fine ~ I hope you have a wonderful day filled with joy, peace and blessings!

Vintage Planters ~

Our back porch is my laundry room/mudroom and I also have it filled with vintage planters/pottery and other goodies as well. This picture shows a few of my old planters that I just adore ~ Don't you just love this vintage rabbit planter... I purchased him for 50 cents at a garage sale a few years ago ~
I received this birdhouse one year from my dear friend and I love it. She makes the most wonderful items out of old posts/architecture ~
My oldest son Jason made this cupboard for me one year for either my birthday or Mothers Day and I treasure it. I think I may repaint it this year in a white/cream color and then distress it for a updated look. Loving all my vintage treasures today and I think spring is just around the corner ...Blessings ~
