You gotta have faith!

Spring IS coming...
Yes, it is! I can almost smell it, can't you?

I am so ready to throw open the windows, breathe deep of the fresh
country air and run barefoot in the sand.
huh??...WAIT...
no sand around here!!
My mind must have wandered for awhile.
It tends to do that quite often these days.

But, I am so ready for warmer days that is for sure.
We had a couple days in the 70's last week and then got hit
with SNOW again.
The weather this year has just been so crazy!

"Faith is a knowledge within the heart,
beyond the reach of proof".

- Khalil Gibran

I took these pics a few weeks ago and forgot all about them until I found them on my
computer again.  I picked up the chevron "B" at Hobby Lobby for a mere $7.50.

It was on clearance and I love it inside this frame.
I initially intended to hang it alone , but it looked rather forlorn all by itself.

I also had this  family sign printed several weeks ago. I hung it in an old frame
that I picked up at a garage sale several years ago and it is just perfect.

It was designed by Alice from Thoughts from Alice
blog. I love it. Thank you Alice!!

I am still loving the paint treatment that I did on our fake brick wall. Makes me want
to fake brick my whole house. lol

This has become a favorite corner in my house right now.

I have not done much creating lately, but I did manage to sit down last week and make a couple bird nest
pieces. I created them inside of old zinc lids.

There's that word again...FAITH.

Faith...working on that as I type this.

There are a few issues going on in our family right now that I wish you would say a prayer for.
I won't get into it on here, but I know God is able and I am trying to have FAITH that in HIS
time it will all work out.

Please come on over and join us.

Trying to capture the beauty of Spring ~

I added just a

*touch of Spring*

in the dining room a few days ago.

I am soooooo longing for Spring.

You too?

This is how my vignette ended up, but I am not sure
about that Cuisine sign... now that I see it in a photograph.
It looks way too tall? I think some tweaking is in order.

You can't have

Spring

without eggs.

The beauty of

Spring

that my friend Becky from Timewashed sent to me.

I altered some eggs last year
and added  a few to my vignette.

Eggs, egg cups, tulips...

I mean...

How much more

*Spring-ier*

can you get??

I love the small old fence that I have had hanging around here for years.

Up close and personal

A little overkill on so many photos? *smile*

Here's to

SPRING

and hoping that it shows up soon!!

Pure randomness and Etsy sale

This post is just pure randomness {is that a word??} , but some pretty images that I wanted to share.

I love this little ironstone dish above holding my stickers .

In my studio you will find, buttons, buttons and more buttons.

I have been working on book bundles and I am having a great time making them.

A left over Easter photo...see , I told you...random!! ha!

Speaking of random...

L.O.V.E. these malt balls that I  picked up at the Harry and David
store when I was in PA visiting my sister. They were giving out free samples and they reeled
me in...hook, line and sinker! :)

I also found these fun opera glasses in PA that are marked PARIS.

up close and personal...

Speaking of PA...my car is finally done and ready to be picked up. We had to have the transmission
rebuilt.  This car is to transfer over to be hubby's work vehicle when we get a newer one, but we
don't want to do that until late this fall or even next year. We want to drive his little 1995 Ford Ranger
until she breathes her last. We are on a mission to see just how long that will be. :)

I would rather drive an older vehicle and have no car payments , than have a new one with car
payments. Yep...I have learned a little in my years of growing up...lol. It isn't all about how other
people perceive us or about having the latest and greatest so we will keep plugging along on our
Michigan dirt road and count our blessings!  God is good!

{I am running a sale in my Etsy store. Just enter
spring25
at checkout to get your 25 % discount. Lots of
goodies in the store right now.}

Playing in the potting shed

I have been busy lately playing in my potting shed so I thought I would give you
a few more peeks at what I am doing.

Do you remember this old white shelf that I purchased a few weeks ago? It ended up out here and I
think it is just right for my goodies.

I did add a bit of fake greenery before I got the bright idea {DUH!} to add real plants. :)

My flowers are still doing just wonderful despite the awful heat we had this summer.

I love this chippy green chair. I purchased FOUR of these chairs at an estate sale
years ago for 50 cents each! Everything was cheap at that sale and I was carrying
my baby granddaughter who was living with us at the time so that was about 11 or 12
years ago. This is the ONLY green one I have left. I have two more that I let set outside
and they lost all of their paint and I sold one in my booth {dumb thing to do I know!}
I am hanging onto this one!

I love real bird nests and this one is a beauty.

Still trying to figure out if this is too much shelving , but it is what it is right now
so it is staying for awhile anyways.

Did you notice what I had hubby do?? This shed does not have interior walls except
on the back wall. It is something we have always intended to do , but just have not
gotten around to it. I was tired of waiting so a week or two ago I grabbed some paint
that we had sitting around and painted the top two thirds of the walls white.
I painted OSB board, I painted old beams...I painted, painted, painted!

Then I had hubby put the fence around the bottom part of the walls! I love how it
turned out, but once again the whole shed is not done, so you are seeing this one
wall! ha! We replaced a few sections of fence this year that were rotting and I
wanted it all to match so we took the above fence down also even though we had
just put it up a year or two ago. I do LOVE to recycle!!
More fake greenery in this cast iron wall vase.

I realized I should have added some gardening gloves and clippers or scissors , but I had already
spent too long taking photos so I opted not to redo it. I don't know how photographers do it!!
It must take them DAYS to do some photo shoots.

I have lots of goodies so I have pottery and all kinds of treasures sitting around in here.

Still lovin' my burlap potting bench skirt. See the slats in the top of my bench?
When hubby made the bench he added a pull out plastic tub underneath the slats so
that after I pot my plants, I can just grab a whisk broom and brush all the soil
down the holes and right into the tub. Then take it out and dump it and wa-la all
nice and clean! :)

My favorite chair again with my pretty pink impatiens.

Loving my little *GROW* knife that I made last year.

A little nest that I spray painted white. That ends the tour for now. I know it isn't the most perfect
shed in the world , but it is mine and I love it. I decided whatever I did to fix it up this year I was
NOT going to spend any money doing it and I am happy how it turned out. Now on to the other
walls...oh goodness. Woman's work is never done...:)

Win a shabby vintage nest!

I fell in love with these nests when I first saw
them this past week. I was in town and was
trying to remember if a shop that I stop at once
in awhile was having an open house. I decided to
stop by and sure enough they were.
Two of these beautys came home with me
and I will be giving one away to a lucky person.

I also stopped at a few garage sales over at the
lake on Saturday that is just a hop and a jump away
from us. I found a bag with several angel wings in it and I
just had to get them.

I also found this gate and the two white plaques off
to the left side of the photo. Score...all at one sale!

I have had comments on this gray and white planter so I thought I would tell you where I picked it up. Meijer...in the floral section where they have assorted pots. $4.99.

These beautiful nests aren't tiny little things. They measure approx. 7 inches across and 4.5 inches tall.

I stuck a bird in mine just for fun.

Birdies companion...lol!

So here's the scoop. The first 20 people to comment on
this post will get their name thrown in a hat and I will
draw a winner and that person will have a nest shipped
right to their door. {US only please}

As a side note: I have tried to comment on several blog
posts today and for some reason I get an error message.
I will keep trying though. I am not abandoning you! :)

Also just a little fyi...so far I have lost 12 lbs and I am
stuck...can't seem to lose anymore , but I will keep
trying. Great feeling ...

Happy White Wednesday...number 101~
