Have you jumped on the RAE DUNN bandwagon?

Have you seen the latest obsession of countless people?

RAE DUNN pottery

I have only found a few pieces and that is OKAY.
I don't want a whole house full of it.
Just a little.
Mugs and bowls is what I am concentrating on right now.

I also had to pick up this big letter planter when I spied it because
I love it and they are very hard to come by!

There are RAE DUNN facebook groups and tons of Instagram groups.
I may have joined a couple... or two or three... or...

I don't know if most collectors actually use their pieces or just display them , but I will use mine.

I raided the kitchen to set up this cupboard for pics. lol.

I am going "minimalist" compared to what I used to display on here.

Sorry about the glare. Usually there is not any light and today the sun is shining brightly
and so thus the glare.

There are days that I REALLY want to paint this hutch white , but I haven't
taken the plunge...yet. lol.

SO, if you are obsessed with it or just have a few pieces I would love to hear about it!
It is very hard to find pieces in my area and by "my area" I mean the closest stores
are an hour or two away.

It's the thrill of the hunt right? I can't drive that far every day hoping to find something.
As I said I am NOT OBSESSED...yet.

*****************************************************
It's been a few months since I last posted.
We are still missing our Eden Rain so very much. It is still hard to believe that tomorrow
it will be nine months since she gained her angel wings.
We said hello and goodbye all at once.
So very hard to do.

She is loved. She is missed. She is our tenth grandchild.
Blessings,

You gotta have faith!

Spring IS coming...
Yes, it is! I can almost smell it, can't you?

I am so ready to throw open the windows, breathe deep of the fresh
country air and run barefoot in the sand.
huh??...WAIT...
no sand around here!!
My mind must have wandered for awhile.
It tends to do that quite often these days.

But, I am so ready for warmer days that is for sure.
We had a couple days in the 70's last week and then got hit
with SNOW again.
The weather this year has just been so crazy!

"Faith is a knowledge within the heart,
beyond the reach of proof".

- Khalil Gibran

I took these pics a few weeks ago and forgot all about them until I found them on my
computer again.  I picked up the chevron "B" at Hobby Lobby for a mere $7.50.

It was on clearance and I love it inside this frame.
I initially intended to hang it alone , but it looked rather forlorn all by itself.

I also had this  family sign printed several weeks ago. I hung it in an old frame
that I picked up at a garage sale several years ago and it is just perfect.

It was designed by Alice from Thoughts from Alice
blog. I love it. Thank you Alice!!

I am still loving the paint treatment that I did on our fake brick wall. Makes me want
to fake brick my whole house. lol

This has become a favorite corner in my house right now.

I have not done much creating lately, but I did manage to sit down last week and make a couple bird nest
pieces. I created them inside of old zinc lids.

There's that word again...FAITH.

Faith...working on that as I type this.

There are a few issues going on in our family right now that I wish you would say a prayer for.
I won't get into it on here, but I know God is able and I am trying to have FAITH that in HIS
time it will all work out.

Linking up today with Blissful Whites Wednesdays over at Timewashed.
Please come on over and join us.
Blessings~

Happy, happy, happy :)

I had this post all done and tried to post it several times last week and it wouldn't post so here we go again.
This time I thought before I added all the wording {it wouldn't save it either} I would just see if it would post
today and wa la it did! So now I have to edit it to add the script. lol I am just glad it posted!!

I have been trying to use up items that I have had laying around here instead of purchasing more fun
things so these are my latest creations. Old bingo cards embellished with words and flowers.

I punched the letters out of old game pieces. I have tons of these!!

Faith, Hope, Love, Dream, Trust

I haven't decided if they are done or if I should add ribbon to hang them, but I think I like them as they are.

After I created the ones above I just had to make this banner.

If you watch Duck Dynasty then you know all about

happy , happy, happy!!

Love that show!

Happy weekend friends...it is almost over, but it was beautiful here in Michigan
today...finally!! :) Can't wait for more warm days.

Creative Energy Unleashed ~

I finally found some time to unleash my creative energy that has
been on hold for the past two weeks.
I decided I was going to create something no matter
what was going on and it felt good.
I made more altered bottles and believe it or not
I think all of these are sold already.
I didn't even get them in my Etsy shop...
these days that is a
GOOD THING ~
I truly enjoy decorating each and every bottle differently.
I noticed that two of my bottles I was going to use have small
chips in the top of them so guess what? I get to make them for
ME.
Have a beautiful day...

Childlike Faith ~

"For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you,
Do not fear; I will help you".
Isaiah 41:13
"Up daddy please"... "hang on Annika"... I've got you ~ "I can do it...I know daddy won't let me fall"

Annika had absolute faith in her daddy that he would hold onto her and
keep her safe.

I wish that childlike faith for you... each and every day...

Blessings~

Become Like Little Children...

I wanted to share something with you today that my son posted on his family site and it really touched my heart...I hope it touches yours too. Have a blessed Monday!
"Matthew 18:3 says "And he said: 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'
"Growing up this verse or this concept was always related to a child's faith. Jump off the table and daddy will be there to catch you; get hurt and mommy will be there to comfort you. A child has absolute faith in their parents to be there for them and in turn we have been taught that this is the meaning of the verse.
After being a father for only one year I have come to a different understanding of this verse.
Have you ever watched your child through the day; watched how they interact with their parents. Mom and Dad literally ARE their life. One story for us particularly comes to mind to describe what I mean.
Liss and I were getting ready to eat dinner one night so as always we had our TV trays set up in the living room. Keira was playing around the couch and Liss was going into the kitchen (probably to get the food...I don't remember why because this isn't the important part). Upon seeing Liss leave the room as she often does Keira started following her mommy out.
Problem: The TV tray next to the couch was directly between her and the path to get to mom. Solution: Who cares.
Keira proceeded to try and push her way through the hole between the tv tray and the couch. She of course started crying because she couldn't make it through, but being a typical father I decided to wait a moment and see what would happen. Would she backtrack, sit up and wait for help? Neither.
This little girl was so intent on getting to her mother that she didn't care what stood in the way. She wasn't making any headway. It was obvious she would never make it through, but this little girl didn't care. She kept pushing and pushing causing more pain to herself until daddy finally came to the rescue and freed her from her prison allowing her to continue her single-minded pursuit.
This is the understanding I've come to know from this verse. It's not "jump and I will catch you" it's "push, pull, scrunch, twist...do what you have to do to seek me with all your heart.
"Do this...be like a child. Have a single-minded pursuit of me like a child. Stop at nothing to find me like a child.
Matthew 18:3 says "And he said: 'I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.'"
