Before and After...which do you like best?

I finished this piece yesterday and was pleased
with how it turned out.

I received my Vintage Charm magazine a few days
ago and in it was a tutorial from Gail Schmidt over at Shabby Cottage Studio to make one of these cuties. I had always wanted to do something with a cheese tray
and dome because they tend to be found at resale shops
quite often.

Here it was in it's former life...

somehow it just didn't do a thing for me in this state.lol. But it does now... Enjoy the day ~

Using Our Talents~

"When I stand before God at the end of my life,
I would hope that I would not have a single
bit of talent left, and could say,
"I used everything you gave me".

Altered Pillow~

Have you been to the blog *DREAM IN CREAM*? I have loved the pillows on their site ever since I visited so I decided to make my version. This is my first attempt and I love how it turned out ~
I added an old lace piece, vintage photograph and a piece of 1894 ledger paper~ A vintage millinery flower ~ An old button and lace~
We are going to a park today to spend some time with our son and 2 year old granddaughter and I hope to get some nice spring pictures.(if it warms up) Have a blessed day ~

Gorgeous Victorian Cabinet Photo

I absolutely love antique images and this one is no exception. I am drawn to this beautiful lady's face and her exquisite dress. Just look at the detail on this garment! It is amazing. I have several antique photos in my collection and I always pick them up when I find special ones. This one was $1.00 ! Can't beat that price. Please feel free to use this picture in your artwork if you so desire. Thank you!
