FALL is upon us already!

HELLO EVERYONE! I am sure I have lost my audience by now, but man has life been hard, joyful,
tough, busy and amazing! Where have the years gone?? My son informed my not too long ago that I am
really slipping when it comes to posting on my blog and he is so right! I've been averaging about once
a year for the past couple years or so. I am going to try and do better , but no promises because you know...
LIFE HAPPENS and you better live it while you can! I know I am trying my best to do that.

The hubby and I were in the RTE 127 sale in August with his sister and husband and that is where I scored
this wheelbarrow. The people in the tent right beside ours GAVE it to me because on part of the frame is
rusted through, but it still works for yard art!!
I LOVE IT! Best bargain of the whole sale along with a chippy , white bench for $1. (from the same
people) There are such kind souls in this world today amidst all the yuck if we just open our eyes
and look.

My amazing Sweet Autumn Clematis! I have two of these. One here on my fence and one on the front porch
on a trellis! I love them and I need to get more!

Our granddaughter Annika. I can't believe she is in 7th grade this year. They moved to California
(insert sobbing here) in February and they flew home last weekend so we had a few hours to spend
with them before they flew right back. We had fun in the park and I snapped a few photos with my
actual camera instead of my phone. She sure is a beauty and growing up fast!

Annika and little Liam! Remember our rainbow grand after we lost Eden to stillbirth? This is him!
Isn't he the cutest??!! Adorable! He will be two years old in November. DOES.NOT.SEEM.POSSIBLE!

I love this photo. My son, his daughter Annika and my hubby. Something must have been very funny. lol

Sweet Ainsley and Liam sliding in the park. The visit was way too short, but I am so
very thankful that we got to see them! Six months is a long time to be apart from those
you love for sure!

This post is so random! Ha! My geraniums from my gardens this year were so pretty.

More flowers.  I can do pretty good growing flowers outside, but not inside AT.ALL.

We found a field of sunflowers one day close by and I had to snap some photos. They are so pretty and
are the epitome of fall!

Well, here we are at the end already! I just picked random pics to post and you got quite a mixture, but it is our
life in real time. God is good and we are so loved by Him!! Always remember that!!

Until next time which is hopefully sooner than later,

The little peanut...

...is so cute!  We were able to go up to our daughter's home this past weekend and visit our
new little grandson this past weekend and is he ever a cutie pie.

Grandma had to take lots of photos of course. Many didn't turn out  because the lighting
was terrible, but I did get a few good ones.

love his little hat

I think Grandpa is trying to tell him all about the hard knocks of life,
but Daniel is oblivious. That will come soon enough.

Beautiful baby boy...:)

A friend of my daughters took these two photos of his little feet...so sweet!

His little foot with his ankle monitor on. Wow, are things different than when I had my babies.
No one can even attempt to walk out the door with this little guy. :) I suppose that is a good
thing, but very sad that our society has come to this.

13 year old sister Allysha singing to her baby brother. He loves it! He was crying on the
way home from the hospital and he quieted right down as she sang *Twinkle, twinkle little
star* and other tunes to him. Allysha has a beautiful voice...I love to hear her sing.

The kids made two "birthday" cakes for the day Daniel came home. This one with the diaper and
another one with a pacifier on it. Too cute!

I am in full swing here in the boonies working on goodies for a holiday bazaar that I signed up
to be in. Somedays I wonder why I did that, but it is keeping me busy so that is good.

We took our car to the body shop last night and they will have it for at least a week to fix the
damage from a week or so ago when someone sideswiped us.  Will be so glad when all that
 is done and behind us.

*********************************************

Can I just say one thing? Please, let's all be kind to one another. No matter the color of our
skin, our religious beliefs or any other differences we may have...
 KINDNESS matters.
Blessings~

I pleaded with God today...{update}

to take away  my mothers pain...

to bring healing to her body...

peace to her mind...

and comfort through it all.

She has served You faithfully

throughout her whole life

with her whole heart.

She loves You so very much

and she puts her trust in You

so please God...

EMS was called early this morning to take my lovely mother to the hospital
because of unbearable pain from sciatica. She is home now and is taking very
potent drugs to ease the unbearable pain. They say it is too risky to operate.
Probably caused from a bulging/herniated disc in her spine.

Today was her grandsons wedding...my sisters baby of the family
and she so wanted to be there.
{him and his fiance are pictured above with mom and dad}

I think there is a reason why our car had problems and we decided not
to go to PA for the wedding or we would not have been here for mom and
dad today when they needed us. God works in mysterious ways and
I know His ways are always best...but I am still pleading with Him.
Would you please pray with me?

UPDATE{sunday morning}: the EMS was called again last night to
transport my mom back to the hospital because of so much pain.
Please pray that God will give the doctors wisdom. Thank you so
much for all your prayers!! It means so much to me and our family!!

More Stockings, Etsy and a nickel

I sure got a bee in my bonnet to keep sewing up more stockings so I am sewing while the bee is around because I know it could fly off at anytime and then the sewing machine will be put away...for who knows how long. lol
This one was made out of a linen jumper. I look for clothes at the Goodwill just to sew up into pretties and knew I had to get this.  It looked brand new, but I don't wear jumpers so it came home with me to be ripped apart and sewn into something else.  This one is ragged...ripped edges on the ruffle and bow.

close up of the bows and ruffle. Love it. This one is unlined.

I used part of a ruffle from a gauzy fabric skirt to embellish this stocking. This one is lined.

gauzy rose made for it as well.
Some of you have asked and yes I am planning on getting these in my Etsy store soon...hopefully.

On another note, my five year old grandson Jon finally *passed* his nickle. I can think of better things to do than swallow a nickle! My poor daughter. That was not a good night for her. She called here after 10 pm and talked to hubby and wondered if she should take him to the ER...{I was in bed}...he suggested yes just to be safe.
So she did. They told her just to let it pass...so much for a 2nd opinion from us...ha ha!

On her way home from the ER darling daughter had pulled into their subdivision and was turning left (their home is right around the corner) and she smashed right into someones car...she did not see them. A neighbor that lived three doors down that she had never met until then. Really messed up her expensive car (this is why we don't drive expensive cars...lol) and found out that she only has limited collision so not only does she have to pay $1,000 out for the neighbors car , but has to pay for all the repairs on her car too out of their pocket...no insurance money at all.  Bummer. Thankfully her hubby works as an engineer at GM and they will be okay, but that is really a knockout punch when you least expect it.  I told her to slowwwww down...goodness. Glad no one was hurt, but hate that it had to happen.

I do believe that God works all things out for our good though...I really do and something will come out of this if only a lesson to slow down and take it easy. I can tell you the last time I got a speeding ticket it really made me assess the situation and realize that I really needed to watch my speed and I really have. I almost wanted to send the officer who ticketed me a thank you note for jolting me back to reality. Now, no, I am not a speedster...he got me for leaving town and I was up to 51 in a 35 or something like that thinking I was farther out of town than I actually was. So...moral of the story...God worked it out for MY good too. Not always fun lessons, but sometimes ones that need to be learned.
Happy Monday everyone!!

Just had to share this AND more news ~

I snatched this off of my sons facebook site...
just had to share it with you ~

{photo collage by Baumann and Scott Photography}

AND

can you believe we are expecting
grandchild number 7 ?

Our precious Annika will be a big sister.

just found out last night.
barely in the oven so it will be awhile yet...lol

Mommy and daddy are trying to get her to say
Big sister and it comes out
big *finster*

The *news* was posted on facebook last night so
I had to call my mom and tell her before
someone who isn't even related said something to her.

I don't think some of this modern technology
is all it is cracked up to be. News sure spreads
fast these days. Either by facebook, texting, Iphone...I sure miss good old fashioned
letters coming in the mail don't you??

Blessings~

Momentous Decision ~

Making the decision to have a child ~
it's momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart
go walking outside your body.
~Elizabeth Stone
This is my sweetie grandson
youngest one
born August 5th
our 32nd wedding anniversary
nice gift ...don't you think ?

My daughter and her family made a quick trip
down here last Saturday and this is Joshua
sleeping in grandma's arms.
Isn't he such a little doll? His mommy tells me he is just the
best baby ever. I think God knew she needed a easy going
baby the third time around as her
second one ...also a little guy
is so full of energy. I don't think he
ever slows down.

I just had to share our little bundle of love
with you today.
I would say the saying above applies to grandparents also.
My heart walks outside my body constantly
with my little sweeties. I love them all so much!

Have a truly blessed Sunday~
