Songbird Cafe and a birthday!

Someone around here is having a birthday.

Tomorrow.

If we all would admit it, we really don't mind birthdays

if

we get spoiled!

And my daughter is very good at spoiling.

She had me meet her in Ann Arbor, Michigan today

and we drove to the

Songbird Cafe

for lunch.

{bday isn't until tomorrow, but we don't care}

Please excuse the pics as most were taken with my phone
and it is not a smart phone, but you get the idea.

LOVE this place!! First time and hopefully not the last.

We also went to Trader Joes and she bought me two bouquets of these
beautiful pink stock flowers. They smell amazing!

Here is yours truly with my lunch! It was soooooooo yummy!!

I brought half the sandwich home along with half the piece of cake, but I already
ate it for my evening meal so every single bite is

GONE!

A beautiful day of celebration with my darling daughter!!

*****************************

The weather is finally warming up here in Michigan and I can't stand the thought
of it getting colder again so I HOPE it just keeps getting warmer.

What are the odds of that happening??...shush! I don't want to hear it. lol

Another gift straight from Heaven!

Our EIGHTH grandbaby arrived today
at 12:28 pm and is he ever a cutie pie!!

It is hard being 3 hours away, but hopefully we will get to see him soon.  Our car
is in the repair shop from last weekend when we were up there and got in an
accident. No big deal, but it takes time to repaint etc.

I am loving technology at times like this...you know when the mommy can't be
there with her only daughter. I got blow by blow updates from her hubby and I
was so thankful for that. The first one came in about 3:19 am by text and said
they were at the hospital. You can bet I didn't get one more wink of sleep. :)

Just had to pop in and tell you!

Disneyworld Vacation!

...although sadly...not MY vacation. lol.

My daughter and her family just got home from
spending a week in Florida and while they were
there they went to Disneyworld.

This is the resort where they stayed for FREE
courtesy of some family members time share. It looks gorgeous!

My daughter and grandchildren up in the air!
I asked her why she didn't lean over the side and
wave and her reply was , "No thanks!"...ha!
{She is like her mother and does not like heights}

The Cinderella castle, son-in-law and
two grands.

Must be the castle needs some work? Just like my house! :)

Once again...daughter, granddaughter and grandson
in the spinning teacup. So cute!

My sweetie granddaughter Allysha growling at
the colonel.

While they were on a boat they took a picture of
this boat passing by. I told her she should have thrown
her camera to someone on the other boat so their picture
could be taken. They thought that would be fine IF they
were using MY camera. lol. I thought better of that
suggestion right away.

I have not seen all her pictures because they took over 600,
but I wanted to share a sample with you. I am so glad they
were able to go. They needed to get away and they had
a wonderful time even driving all the way from Michigan
down to Florida with three children in the car.

Happy weekend! I am dreaming of warmer weather...

Momentous Decision ~

Making the decision to have a child ~
it's momentous.
It is to decide forever to have your heart
go walking outside your body.
~Elizabeth Stone
This is my sweetie grandson
youngest one
born August 5th
our 32nd wedding anniversary
nice gift ...don't you think ?

My daughter and her family made a quick trip
down here last Saturday and this is Joshua
sleeping in grandma's arms.
Isn't he such a little doll? His mommy tells me he is just the
best baby ever. I think God knew she needed a easy going
baby the third time around as her
second one ...also a little guy
is so full of energy. I don't think he
ever slows down.

I just had to share our little bundle of love
with you today.
I would say the saying above applies to grandparents also.
My heart walks outside my body constantly
with my little sweeties. I love them all so much!

Have a truly blessed Sunday~

More Vintage Paper ~

More antique prints that I purchased last week from the antique store that is going out of business. I just couldn't pass them up~
Paid a whopping 50 cents each for these.

My oldest son , his wife and our 1 year old GD are home this weekend. We haven't seen them for quite some time so I will not be spending much time on the computer. I hope to have more GD pictures to show you next week.

Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings~

Happy Birthday Dad ~

1933...what a year!! It was the year my father was born. I have wondered many times what I ever did to deserve such a wonderful dad. He has been my rock in hard times and the best father a daughter could ever have! I used to tell him when I was young that when I grew up I was going to marry him! LOL This is his picture as a youngster ~ You're in the army now ~
My father today~
I grew up in a wonderful Christian home where we always knew we were loved. It was shown to us every day and told to us over and over as well and I thank God every day for that. We weren't ruled with an iron rod, but with the utmost care, love and discipline that a lot of families don't have. My father is my hero and a true treasure to everyone who knows him. Happy Birthday Dad from your DD ~ I love you so much!
