Don't walk , but RUN to your nearest Michael's store! {Just sayin'}

It is quite possible that you are all WAY ahead of me, but just in case you aren't,  I wanted to
share my  new finds. I was fortunate enough to be in the *city* a few weeks ago so Michael's
 craft store was a must stop and I am so glad we did.

I adore these note cards!!
Just perfect for that day of LOVE coming up...you know??

Valentines Day!

They were only $2.00 per package of 10 cards and envelopes!

{They are in the dollar bins in case you need to know where to look for them}

I also found a bunch of Valentine rubber stamps for $1.00 each!

I had to make a couple passes around the store before I found them. That store has some stamps
here and some stamps there...kinda confusing, but I didn't give up! lol

I love to find these dollar stamps because most rubber stamps are so expensive.

Bedspring Bird Nest

I was roaming though my past photos and I found this picture

of a bird nest bedspring thingy that I made several months ago.

At the time I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but I put it in my

booth anyways and it didn't take long to sell so someone must

have liked it. lol.

To me it just looked like a mess. ha!

I used purchased nests with eggs , greenery and all

and then added paper shred underneath them and

fastened them to an old bedspring that I wrapped

tea dyed muslin around.

I think I was feeling a little crazy the day I made it!! :)

I did fasten the nest tag to it with ribbon at the bottom,

but forgot to take a finished photo. What do you think? I am trying to decide whether to make more or just leave

well enough alone. :) I am also thinking there should

probably be a bird somewhere...oh well.

Keeping Busy ~

What creative things have you all been up to lately?

I have been making hand stamped muslin ribbon

for my booth at the antique store.

I have been stamping until I can stamp no more~

...and also printing and cutting out the cards

to put the ribbon on ~ my gorgeous new blessed banner on my antique mirror. can you believe I got this mirror for 50 cents at a garage sale several years ago? It was kinda falling apart and I knew my hubby could fix it. I love it~ can't believe I haven't painted it white yet though Let me know what you have been up to in the creativity department ~ Blessings~

I made this hanging collage today and I really like how it turned out. Using neutral colors I rubber stamped a scripture verse on scrapbook paper for the center image. Then I embellished it with flowers, buttons, trim etc. It is a great reminder for all of us in these uncertain times that God loves us and is watching over us. New Handmade Hang Tags

I just added a few more tags to my Etsy store yesterday. I am loving these two new stamped images and Christmas will be here before we know it. I can't believe it it October already. I usually have a lot of my Christmas shopping done by now and I don't have anything. I guess I better get busy. LOL Enjoy!

My Space to Create Treasures

I don't have any time today to create so I thought I would share a few pix of "my creative space". This room makes me smile whenever I walk in it, but truth be known I usually move things out of here to the kitchen or dining room table or both to create and then I have stuff laying all over the house. Last night my hubby said with a smile, "it is sad that we have two tables and we are standing at the kitchen counter to eat". LOL So I promptly cleared off a space at the kitchen table. Enjoy!
