Online Garage Sale continues...Jeanne D Arc scarves added

I am continuing my online garage sale with a few more items since my previous post was such
a success.

This wooden angel is beautiful and is stamped "Moonlight and Roses...Marta E Peters" on the back.
She stands approx. 15.5 inches tall and is approx. 6 inches wide at the widest point.

Price for this beauty is $20 plus shipping.

It would make a perfect Christmas gift.

Next up are four Pottery Barn bird ornaments. These are so beautiful, but I have never used them so
I am passing them along for someone else to enjoy.

Gorgeous glitter {I believe it is glass glitter} along with heavy cardboard and paper details.

These measure approx.  6 and 1/4 inches tall by 3 and 1/4 inches across.

{They still have their original $8 each price sticker on them}

Selling these for $5 each plus shipping.

I just added this Jeanne D Arc scarf...well it isn't this specific one because this one is mine, but I do have another
white one exactly like this one and also a cream one. BRAND NEW items that have never been used.
$25 each plus shipping.

Just send me an email if you are interested in anything here or if you want more pictures.

Thank you!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year...

...it's the hap-happiest season of all...
vintage pair s and p's...
$1.00
Made in Japan
score!

I am sure you have seen these adorable little birdies
before as they are appearing all over blogland.

I just think they are so cute!

I scored seven of them on my outing last week
to the city.

This was also a wonderful find at Home Goods. I have
never seen anything like this at that store before.
It is huge at 24 inches square with a feather/down
insert and is comes with a zippered cover too.
Very squishy and nice.

Just a little update...grandbaby number 7 will soon arrive. She is due in 10 days so we are anxiously awaiting Ainsley's arrival. I know she will be tiny, beautiful and precious just like her big sister Annika.

We had Thanksgiving at my parents home on Saturday evening. We feasted on turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, squash casserole, broccoli casserole, stuffing, salad, deviled eggs, rolls, cherry pie, coconut pie and apple pie. The food was delicious as it is every year and we had a wonderful time with family.

In case you need a quick delicious salad recipe:

Lettuce { I used a head of lettuce and a package of spring mix} 2 oranges { cut up in chunks} Craisins, {dried cranberries}, Toasted pecans Poppy seed dressing{ I used Marzetti brand} Everyone loves this salad so I took it again this year. I figure why mess with a good thing. :)

I want to wish each of you a most blessed Thanksgiving!!

Bedspring Bird Nest

I was roaming though my past photos and I found this picture
of a bird nest bedspring thingy that I made several months ago.
At the time I wasn't sure if I liked it or not, but I put it in my
booth anyways and it didn't take long to sell so someone must
have liked it. lol.

To me it just looked like a mess. ha!
I used purchased nests with eggs , greenery and all
and then added paper shred underneath them and
fastened them to an old bedspring that I wrapped
tea dyed muslin around.
I think I was feeling a little crazy the day I made it!! :)

I did fasten the nest tag to it with ribbon at the bottom,
but forgot to take a finished photo. What do you think? I am trying to decide whether to make more or just leave
well enough alone. :) I am also thinking there should
probably be a bird somewhere...oh well.

Blessings~

We Are of Great Value ~

"Look at the birds in the sky.
They don't plant or harvest or gather food into barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
You are more
valuable
than they are, aren't you? " Matthew 6:26
You
are valuable to God.
I
am valuable to God.

He loves us so much.

Sweet Blessings today ~

This , That and The Other...

So what did you all do today? I got a few new things listed on my Etsy site, crafted some other goodies, planted one of my window boxes on my shed, ran to town again, stopped at our sons apartment to see my sweet little granddaughter...basically this and that and the other.(which is what I get done most days) LOL

The bird decor above is hanging on the outside of my potting shed above a window and I loved how the sun was shining on it today ~
I received this sweet wire bird soap holder from dear Pamela over at Lady Pamela's cottage a few weeks ago. Isn't it too cute? Last week I sat it out in my entry way on a table and put this sweet little bird nest in it. Then I sat the little cement bird beside it on the table. The next day I noticed that the little bird was sitting on the nest!! Did she sprout her cement wings and fly to the nest I wondered...how could this be? Then an *AH HA* moment. My adorable 2 year old granddaughter was at our house the night before and I was sure she had placed the birdie on the nest because she loves to go out on the porch and play with all my pretties. Fast forward to this week and guess what I caught my sweet Annika doing...she had taken the birdie and plopped him on his nest again. She is so smart!! (proud grandma bragging here). I said to her "does the birdie belong on the nest" and she said *YES* and then she said "ewwwwww it is dirty"...LOL What a sweetheart! Love her to pieces and I cherish every moment I get to spend with her~
Love this bowl and vintage lace pieces. I purchased these for a little of nothing on my venture out on Thursday. Just had to share them with you. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Blessings~

East Mulberry Gift Cottage ~

I had to dash to town today so I stopped by the East Mulberry Gift Cottage open house in Bryan , Ohio. The owner is Sharon Gyurnek and she is a sweetheart. I have put some of my signs in her shop (which I don't make anymore) and I feel blessed to call her a friend~

Love these nests...one thing you find out fast when you enter her shop is that she loves anything to do with birds. You will find birdnests and bird items all over the store and outside too ~
This is the outside of her adorable shop that is jam packed with goodies~ When you step in the door you are greeted by twigs hanging everywhere inside. Some are adorned with white lights, some have wire candleholders hanging from the branches and they just *MAKE* the atmosphere. Below is Sharon's checkout counter and if you look real close you will get a slight glimpse of her (wish I was a better photographer) ~
I adore these market baskets. She has them priced at 59.99 and during her open house they are 15% off. I think that is a pretty good price, but alas with hubby only working four days a week and his factory cutting down even further I didn't take one home~
Is this a cute idea or what...an old purse with a birds nest inside~
I hope you can tell what these pictures are. They are photographs that Sharon has taken in her home. Yes she also uses a lot of twigs in her home. It is beautiful! Wait until Christmas open house and I hope to get a picture of her $2 couch ~ It is to die for gorgeous!!
Sharon uses a lot of parasol's in her shop also~
More bird nests and birds in a tree. This was a full Christmas tree in a corner just covered with nests and birds. It looked so neat, but my photo turned out blurry...sorry~
Beautiful bird plates~
Sharon has been making pin cushions for years and sells them all over the US and I think she has also sold some outside the US. She uses all kinds of containers for them~
Sharon also uses a lot of old suitcases to display her items in...love them ~
More pretty birds and bird nests~
This twig archway is not too far inside the door and it has candleholders hanging from it~
If you are ever in Bryan ,Ohio be sure and look up this adorable cottage. It is on Mulberry Street of course. Stay tuned for the 2nd part coming soon...her garden tour ~ Blessings~

Feathered Friends

I have been going to an antique store periodically that is going out of business and they have everything that you can imagine from china to books. It is a very old store and most things are somewhat dusty, but there are some treasures to be found.
I usually make my way to the basement where literally there are thousands of books, magazines and all kinds of paper ephemera. You name it I am sure they have it. The last time I was there I went through postcards and antique ephemera and brought home several items, this adorable bird piece being one of them. It is small and just a treasure and I also love the scripture verse on it.
All the old postcards and old music sheets are 25 cents each and old valentines are 15 cents! I always come home with several paper items that are just gorgeous. Please feel free to copy this adorable little bird picture if you so desire.

Shabby Vintage

I thought I would add a few more decor pictures. I absolutely love this picture! I got it at Home Goods a couple years ago for 4.99! However, I haven't quite got the wall decor along with it figured out and everytime I look at it , it drives me crazy! :) In the corner by this wall I have an old creamy white shutter with a clock on it in the same colors as the picture and a loveseat is underneath with a white cover and a quilted throw with the colors in the picture as well so if anyone has any ideas please feel free to share them with me.
I just couldn't pass up these adorable shoes especially with the vintage millinery included.
This is one of my favorite photographs of another corner in my living room. I purchased the candle sconce at the Goodwill for $3.00!! I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!
