Trick-or-treat!

Just look what I found!! A pretty little mermaid  getting ready to go trick-or-treating.

...along with her sweet little sister. Aren't they both so precious and don't they make
beautiful little mermaids? :)

My son also donned a costume ...lol!

Hubby and I went to our son and daughter-in-laws place and trick-or-treated with them and the girls
last Saturday evening. We had a lot of fun, although just as we were starting it began raining so we
had to break out the umbrellas.

The above photo is an apartment building that we walked past.

Two little mermaids getting ready to head out for treats.

 {yes I got the photos in the wrong order...sorry}

Grandpa and Grandma all ready for a fun evening with the pretty little mermaids. ♥

This was my costume! HA HA! We did look for ears on the spur of the moment, but didn't find any.
Annika wanted me to say "meow" at every place we went so I tried to oblige her. HA! They are only
young once and we are making memories. I found out when I became a grandparent that I will do
things for my grands that I have never done before! :) Fun, fun times that will pass all too soon
and they will be 16 before we know it. I am treasuring these days and holding them close to my
heart.

A walk to remember...and Etsy sale

I was chatting with my cousin via facebook yesterday and she mentioned that she just had taken
a walk. That motivated me to get off my butt and also head out for a walk

...camera in hand.

First, I walked across the road to the pumpkin patch and then I walked about 1/4 mile down our road
to the west and then about 3/4 mile east and then back home.

I am so thankful that I took my camera along because it was nature at it's very best!

I found many different kinds of trees and leaves

Remember me saying awhile ago how I went on the hunt for bittersweet and found the mother
lode a few miles away? Well, it sure pays to take a walk and look around on your own road!! I
could not believe it when I saw this bittersweet!! Most of it is high in a tree, but there is
some that is actually reachable.

Beautiful mums in my own yard

Here is my

HOME SWEET HOME.

taken from the other side of the road where the pumpkin patch is.

We own a little over three acres and we love living in the country.

I am just waiting for this tree to be all ablaze with color. It is a beautiful shaped tree.

A lone pumpkin in the patch...

...but not to worry because he is surrounded with pumpkins as far as the eye can see.

This is the tree in our front yard and our pole barn.

Beautiful rose hips

Yep...more pumpkins.

These will soon be full and overflowing with pumpkins..I LOVE them! I would love to have one of these
sitting in my yard.

We see trucks all hours of the day driving in the patch and then a few hours later driving back out with
massive amounts of pumpkins in the crates.

Fall color at it's best

More beautiful bittersweet

Does this post give you incentive to get out and take a walk?
Of course you have to take your camera with you and snap some photos! *smile*

It was very nice to take you along with me on

a walk to remember.

Historical Church Tour...St Joseph's Shrine

I picked up a couple of flyers for driving tours and we set out on Sunday to see what we could find.
One was a fall colors driving tour and the other was a historical church driving tour . Truthfully we
strayed from the fall colors tour because it was a bust and we found much more color on our own.

This was the neatest church on the historical church tour. We have passed by this place many
times over the years when we would drive north to visit our daughter, but we had never stopped.

All I can say is WOW...you would never know all this beauty existed beyond the road!

I will let the photos speak for themselves...{at least most of the time}

Pretty breathtaking so far...

I fell in love with this door

Yours truly on one of the paths

We were just in awe walking through this courtyard. You would never know all this {and MORE} is here
because you walk down a sidewalk at the back of the church and then descent a very long and steep
staircase to the lakeside below where all these statues and stone work are located. AMAZING! {and I
didn't include all the photos}

I hope you enjoyed your brief tour today.
Blessings~
