OH my did I find treasures when mom and I were
out and about Wednesday!
We went to a local college rummage sale that is
and annual event and is is
HUGE~
Every year people stand in a line that snakes around
part of the college to attend this event that is filled
with used items and also new items that are donated
by local stores.
{they raise approx. $25,000 every year at this event
and use it for scholarships for needy young people}
The overhead doors open promptly at
9am and people just swarm inside.
It is so much fun~
I never know which department to look at first,
but you have to figure it out fast or you will
get run over by people...lol ~

We stayed until about 11 am
purchased our goodies and then went to lunch.
At lunch I decided I wanted to go back
because at approx. 1 pm
everything is 1/2 off~
So back we went. I had my eye on this pretty tiara
the first time around. The store price attached was 73.95,
but they had $20 on it. I just couldn't justify spending
even $20 so I left it there.
When we went back for the 1/2 off sale
it was still there so I think it was meant to be.
Snagged it for $10.00 ~

ADORE
these Madonnas~

The cream bottle brush tree...10 cents.
FOUR KD Vintage tinsel trees for 25 cents each!
I priced these KD trees online when I got home
and a PAIR of them retail for $49.99 ! I had no idea!
But I do have a story...I had two 10 inch trees and two
17 inch trees in my sack. Well...when I got home and unloaded
it all there were only THREE . I was missing a 17 inch tree.
I have tried and tried to figure out what happened
to the other one to no avail. I had the bag the whole time
and I didn't think it could have fallen out, but who knows.
I guess someone else was meant to have that one.
But I am still thrilled to have three of them!

These next three photos are of a three tiered
round display stand that I purchased.
I have seen this all set up in a past issue of a magazine with cream
bottle brush trees and I believe the cardboard glitter
houses on it. It is SO NEAT! But I need to find that
photo because I purchased the felt pieces in the Christmas department
{for 50 cents} and the round display discs were in a totally different
department {for $1.00}. The part that hooks them alltogether
is missing {probably was in yet a different department...lol}
and I need to see that photo so hubby can get this together for me.
I thought I had saved it, but I can't find it anywhere. I
think it was an ad in the magazine , but I am not sure.
Each one of these felt pieces fit over a wooden disk
and then the icicles drape over the edge.
Can anyone help me??
