While we were outside working on the tree, hubby showed me this hornets nest in another tree in front of our house. There doesn't appear to be any activity at all so it must be an old one. |

Wow 9 grandchildren, you are old. Just kidding. Believe is a good word. LOVE your sign.
You are not Old, I'm older and I have no grandchildren. In just a few days I'll be 61,
Hi Sandi, Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I wish her all the best.
I'm glad that you both were not near the tree when it came down and that the house wasn't damaged. That could have been fatal.
The shoe sign is real funny and will make your visitors laugh. Hopefully your new carpet will stay clean for a long time. Your fall decor is beautiful.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Congrats on your new grandchild, Sandi! I think your vignette looks lovely. I love the basket and how you decorated it.
We had a willow that fell down in the backyard at our old house during a hurricane, but it was within 5 minutes of my looking out the window, looking away and then looking back. It never made a sound! I wound up taking some branches from that tree and rooting them in a garbage can filled with water. Out of about 5 branches I got one good one that rooted and that did grow into a beautiful new weeping willow in our yard. Just in case you wanted to keep a piece of the original tree. : )
Congrats on your new granddaughter. Can't wait to see pictures. Your autumn color is beautiful! Trees here are still green. So glad no one was hurt when that tree fell. God certainly was looking out for you.
Congrats, what a special blessing grands are or at least that's what I've heard. I adore your photos! Love the colors !
It looks like you have enjoyed some beautiful fall colors this autumn! Love the arrangement - great styling!
Oh Sandi, it's been way to long in my visits to you.
As for the sign? I LOVE it and now I think I will paint me up one. It's a sign of many conversations to come with guest who enter :)
The hornets nest is scary, and you must get it removed, perhaps it's still live and they are laying low waiting for the attack....Yikes!
Thank you for taking the time to visit me, I always enjoy your comments, and to return to see what you are and have been up to is that much more exciting.
Take care of that new carpet, and get rid of that hornets nest!
Xoxo
Beautiful Autumn to you.
Dore
Thanks so much for the shot of Autumn. I miss the changing leaf colors.

Such happy news! Congratulations on the newest addition to the family. Love your sign about the shoes. Reminds me of when the girls' friends come over and leave a huge pile of shoes at the door and many of them look the same!

What a wonderful, wonderful post. I am your newest follower and will put you on my sidebar right away. I am your WI neighbor -across Lake MI. lol
Hope you are holding a sweet new baby in your arms right now. Looking forward to getting to know you better. xo Diana
Congratulations on your new granddaughter! I'm visiting from Kris' and I'm a new follower. Nice to meet a fellow former stay at home Mom. I'm still in the throws of it. I really like your sense of style! And yes, I'm a decor quitter at times too. I have to look at things a while which means sometimes things don't get finished before I'm starting the next thing... Love your sidebar quotes too!

The sign about the shoes made me laugh. will have to make one for me! Love the colors of fall!! You were lucky when the tree fell. I had a fir fall on my old home once and luckily God made it fall slow so no damage!!
I also posted photos of fall scenes here in Oregon on my blog and my latest treasures for my new home!
Sandi, I saw you featured at Kris' . I was happy . I told her I knew you and that we almost met up once . LOL. Thankful that tree did not hit your home. Your pictures are all so good. Love the new fountain. Blessings , xoxo,Susie
p.s. I think of you often when I see the wings you sent me.
Aaahhh...love your blog!! Came over for a visit from you being featured at Junk Chic Cottage~~~so lovely! I am your newest follower~~~Blessings~~~Roxie
Love the sign and love the whole vignette.
We live at the beach and have hardwood floors that are constantly covered in sand. The ocean front house on our lane has carpeting - crazy for the beach - and they have a sign for removing your shoes. That is the only way their carpet will last.
Hi Sandi. I saw you on Kris's Saturday Spotlight. I love bittersweet. It speaks fall to me whenever I see it. I'm so glad the fallen tree missed your house. Your fall photos are gorgeous. Congratulations on your new granddaughter. You have a lovely family. New follower ~ Nancy
Hi Sandi,
I read your post on Kris' blog. You did a fantastic job. One day, just for fun, I looked up on a map how far away you were from each other. I thought maybe someday (it'll never happen) I could come and visit you both. You two are the greatest.
*Smiles*
