FREE Canvas print GIVEAWAY!

When Sarah from Canvas Factory contacted me about having a giveaway on my blog, I
was quick to say yes. I love canvas prints and I am betting that you do also.  I also received a free
print of my choosing and I chose a photo of our beautiful little rainbow baby grandson Liam to be
printed on a wrap around canvas.

Isn't he just the sweetest? I swiped this photo from his mommy's facebook page and had it made
into this canvas piece and I love it. I moved it here and there in the house before I finally chose
to hang it in the living room for now. {first photo}

I am so sorry the quality isn't better in my pics, but rest assured that the quality
of the canvas is spot on. These photos were shot with my I phone and
obviously I needed to use  my camera, but I have put this off for far too long, so
it is what it is.

I still absolutely love the photo and the Canvas Factory did a great
job! It was also shipped out pretty fast and I highly recommend them for any
of your photography needs for that special piece.

Now, for the fun part. I get to GIVE ONE AWAY!! Woo hoo!!

To be entered in the drawing , please leave me a comment telling me what picture
you would choose to have printed. A family member? A beloved pet? A nature scene?
(or just comment on anything lol)
I believe the sky is the limit, but whatever the winner chooses I am sure it will be
awesome.

This giveaway will run for a week and I will choose a winner on January 15.
(Please note that this giveaway is for US residents only)

Please share this on facebook or other social media to help get the word out.

In other news...My oldest son informed me that I have really been slacking on my blog posts
and he is so right!Good grief! I still have a SPRING header up from last year!
I am so embarrassed. It has been almost a YEAR since I last posted. I hope to remedy
that this year and post more frequent and with better photos...hopefully.

Thank you and blessings,

A Memorial for Eden

It's been 2 months...1 week...and 6 days...

If you have read my previous posts you know by now that we lost our 10th grandchild,
a precious little girl, Eden Rain to stillbirth in May. It was such a shock to all of us and
we are still coming to terms with how this could happen to a perfect and beautiful child.

Her parents {my son and daughter-in-law) had a brick engraved with her name and two hearts
and had it added to a beautiful park as a memorial to our little baby Eden.

It is such a beautiful little park. I'm glad they chose this one.

(I added little pink butterflies on each picture so you can see where her brick is)

Her brick is laid in the middle of two other bricks that have her aunts names on them.

Their family calls it...

Butterfly Park

...because they always see lots of butterflies there.

This gorgeous fountain stands at one end of the park.

It is so nice to come here and sit on one of the benches on a nice, cool day or a day when
rain is coming down ever so gentle...

...after all...

her name IS

EDEN RAIN.

We love her and miss her so...

*************************************

This is the latest poem that I have written :

I think of you daily
And I'm wondering again
Who you would look like

Who you would have been
Are you smiling a lot?
What color are your eyes?
What are you doing now
Since we said our goodbyes?

Is heaven full of beauty?
Are you loving it there?
Do the angels tell you
When I whisper a prayer?

Do they sing to you Eden
Their sweet lullabies?
Do they hold you and kiss you
Up there in the sky?

I know in my heart you're
the most beautiful one there
With your daddy's little nose
And your mommy's dark hair

I wish heaven could send
down photos of you
So that we could see
All the things that you do.

Your wings must be tiny
And glistening white
And to see Jesus hold you
Must be quite a sight.

I wonder if the angels
Take turns holding you too
Because I'm sure they love babies
Just as much as we do

"This baby is special"
I can just hear one say
"Because she came to us
On her birth day..".

"She'll never know pain
Or heartache or woe
But her family on earth
Still misses her so"

"So Eden, flutter your wings
A little extra today
And maybe they'll feel it
And look up and say"

"Did you feel that soft breeze
And that light gentle rain?
I just know it's our Eden
Saying hello once again".

She's Here!!

Our 9th grandbaby is here!!! Straight from God's heart to ours!!

We made the trip out to Indiana on the Sunday after she was born to hold and snuggle this
newest little member of our family. She is so, so precious!!

Her siblings Keira and Kanaan think she is pretty nice also.

She is just a beautiful little treasure straight from heaven.  Oh how much God loves us
to bless us over and over again!

She is just a teeny little one and so perfect!

Here is yours truly...I am always looking at something. ha!!
Just wanted to share the joy with you!
Blessings~

Please remove your shoes(and don't take a better pair when you leave!}

What do you think of this sign?

I just laughed and laughed when I first saw it, but I also thought I
NEEDED IT.

We just put new carpet in the living room that is light
colored and no shoes are allowed nor is any food or drinks.

First time I saw the sign it was marked down from 19.99 to 14.99.
I didn't get it.

Next time it was marked down to 9.99.
I got it...and I LOVE it!

I've been doing a little decorating here and there. This is really not exactly like I want it, but
I got tired of messing with it so it is what it is. Does that ever happen to you?  Most days
I love to decorate, but some days it just doesn't fall together so I give up. yep.
I guess I'm a quitter...of sorts. :)

You are probably wondering what the BELIEVE chalkboard has to do with the decor.
Absolutely nothing! HA! It is my word of the year and has been there since
January 1 and I just can't change it. It was a very appropriate word I might add.
With all the changes our family has been through this year I have to BELIEVE
that everything will be okay.

I also wanted to share a new fountain with you that was just installed in Bryan, Ohio.
I call it a local town because we are there every other day it seems. Okay, maybe
not quite the often, but a lot!  Isn't the fountain just beautiful?

This is kinda random, but this past week a HUGE part of our willow tree
FELL DOWN...GO BOOM!

Hubby was contemplating cutting this part of the tree down because it was splitting, but
he didn't have a chance. We woke up one morning and he looked out the window like he
always does and said, "Well, I guess I don't have to cut the tree down". We were
floored! HOW did we not hear this huge tree fall in the night?

Thanking God that it didn't come down on the house!
As you can see it just missed it so someone was looking out for us that is for sure.
I am also very thankful that it didn't come down when hubby or I were mowing
underneath it. That would not have been good.

We have a lot of it cut up and hauled off to an area on our property, but we still have the largest
part of the trunk to get cut up. We do a little at a time because we are OLD and we just
can't handle hours and hours at a time. :)

While we were outside working on the tree, hubby showed me this hornets nest in another tree
in front of our house. There doesn't appear to be any activity at all so it must be an old one.

I just can't believe it is almost the end of October already!! The fall colors this year were
spectacular in Michigan! I took a lot of photos and am overwhelmed by the beauty that
God creates for us every year.

Oh, one more thing...we have a new granddaughter!!! Grandchild #9!! She was born
yesterday to my oldest son and his family. They now have three sweeties.
Keira, Kanaan and now Korrah  Michelle Boothman. She weighed 6 lbs and 8 ounces
and was 19.5 inches long. Born around 4:30 pm. We hope to visit them on Sunday
and get a few snuggles in.

Happy fall day to each and every one of you!!
Blessings~
