My heart went *pitter - patter*...

...when I realized I was going to have time
to go to my very favorite store
*Home Goods*
last week when I met my daughter to help
watch the grands at the hospital.
I had to leave early because I knew that was the
only chance I would get that day to shop and
since I had to drive two hours to meet her
I wanted to take full advantage of my time
in the city.

I had three things on my list...
a white wreath
a white ruffled bedspread
and new white dishes.

I had to shop fast and I was pleasantly
surprised to find all three in record time! :)

That is enough to make anyones heart go

pitter patter don't you think?

I purchased this ruffled spread in a twin size to use as a throw , tablecloth, etc. I haven't even taken it out of the package yet.

My new white dishes...love them, but I have a broken cup already. When I brought them home hubby said, "are they breakable" and I said *Yes*, but the beauty of that is there are always more white dishes out there." ha! I don't know if I broke it or if it was that way when I purchased it. I found it in the dishwater that way when I was washing them up. Being the clutz that I am it was probably me! I love how they incorporate both the round and the square shape.

Simply white.

Love all my white finds and my Home Goods store. {no I was not paid to say this.lol.}

Be sure and visit Kathleen over at Faded Charm for more WW posts. Many thanks to her for continuing to host this for all of us who are addicted to white. Blessings~

Beautiful lampshades

I have been overwhelmed this week watching
the sad story coming out of Japan. Those
people certainly need our prayers during
this difficult time. I can't even begin to
imagine what many of them are going
through.

I am still sneezing , coughing and all that goes
along with it so I am not getting much
accomplished here this week. With that in mind , I decided to snap a few
pictures of some of my favorite lamps.

This is one of the lamps in my bedroom. The lace is a vintage collar. I just slipped
it over the lamp and it fit perfect.
{Now I am noticing the dark finial...I think
I need to get out the white paint}

I added a rosette made by yours truly and love
the simple look.

This lamp is a favorite. Right now it is in my
studio until I decide for sure where I do
want to put it. Maybe it will stay in there.
I found it at Home Goods several
weeks ago and did not purchase it.
Then the last time I was there...it became
mine. How can you beat 39.99 for such
a gorgeous lamp with this script shade?
I couldn't! :)

I have shown you this shade before. It came on
the antique figural lamp and I love it.

I saw this neat idea when we went to Shipshewana
so I made sure to get a photo of it.
Lace around the middle of them lamp and
then a handmade rubber stamped flower. Gorgeous!

Oops...I think my shade is crooked. Oh well,
I also purchased this lamp at Home Goods a
few years ago. It was upstairs in the guest bedroom
which is hardly ever used so I brought it down
and put it in my dining room. Love the
blousy fabric...it reminds me of a wedding dress.
I also added a Meadowstreet rose.

I will be linking up with Kathleen over at
Faded Charm again this week for White
Wednesday.
Thank you Kathleen for continuing to host!! Blessings~

Lovely Basket and Laundry Whites

the fun is having lots to do and not doing it.” ― Mary Wilson Little

One of my treasures that I found at Home Goods
last week. I added a few sprigs of lavender and
rosemary.

Love the linen lining.
This basket was in the clearance aisle for 10.00.
A steal...

I also found the laundry softener in the
clearance aisle. It is infused with lavender oil. Can't wait to try it.

I put my dryer sheets in a vintage jar so I don't have
an ugly orange box sitting around.

Linking up with Kathleen over at Faded Charm
again today. Happy White Wednesday! Blessings~

Spur of the moment fun

I have spent the past few days working on these signs
and today was made for playing!

I thought I was pretty much done making these,
but they started selling very well in my space at the
antique mall so I went ahead and made a few more.

I intended to go to my booth today and suspend a ladder
overhead and decorate it, but it was much too hot
and muggy so...we had a spur of the moment
change of plans.

Hubby asked "do you want to go to Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti??? {a 1 and 1/2 hour drive one way}
well... yes...absolutely...I would !
{don't have to ask me twice to visit my favorite stores}

So we spent the afternoon at Home Goods, TJ Maxx,
JoAnn Fabric and Michaels.

Hubbs also went to his favorite hobby shop and we purchased
him another RC Plane for his birthday which is this
coming Saturday. I can't believe he will be 54 years old.
He thinks it is just great. He keeps telling me
*I will be able to eat off Bob Evans senior menu soon*.
What a hoot!

I hope you had a fun day today too! Blessings~

PS I did get a few goodies which I will share soon. :)

Win $5,000 Shopping Spree from Home Goods! ~

Remember this tea canister that I purchased from Home Goods?
{Love that store}
Well... Jo Temah Shedletsky from Home Goods contacted me and asked me to share this with my blog readers.
Deborah Needleman founding editor of Domino magazine created the Home Goods Stylescope a simple, online tool that provides a customized style (like Bohemian Classic, Earthy Modern or Dramatic Eclectic) as well as tips to put that style to use.

The StyleScope is an invaluable tool for those who want to find their own style, and escape from the overly prescriptive home decor options of major stores. This quick online quiz is designed to help all of us who love stylish home decor , but don't know how to incorporate specific trends or styles into our own homes.

Additionally , for the remainder of the summer those who take the Home Goods StyleScope {online quiz} can enter for a chance to win a weekly $5000 shopping spree or a daily gift card giveaway to Home Goods.
Just click on StyleScope above and it will take you to the quiz. I took it and it didn't take long at all and it was fun. My style is
Elegant Classic~
I would love to know what you all are. You will find out at the end if you are a winner. I hope one of you win!! Blessings~

Gorgeous Rose Mirror

I wanted to share this mirror with you that I purchased at Home Goods a few months ago. I just love it! I haven't figured out where I want to hang this lovely piece permanently so I have it on a wall by itself for now. I am thinking maybe I need to move it in the living room with my other mirrors , but I am just not sure yet. I hope you have a good day today and that it is filled with unexpected blessings!

Home Goods Find

I thought I would share my latest Home Goods find . I have an old corsage under the glass cloche, but you could use it for so many different things. I just love it! And the price was right at only 7.99!
