Here comes Peter Cottontail...

...hoppin' down the bunny trail ♪♫♪

Hippity , hoppin'...♫♪♫

Easter's on its way! ♪♫♪...

{from composers Steve Nelson and Jack Rollins in 1949}

I remember this song from when I was little and it always comes to mind this time of year.

I chose to be lazy this year and opt for a purchased kit to make a cute bunny banner.

Actually, I was going to get one for each of my kids families for my grands and I only found this one.
I went to a couple different stores and never saw another one and that was way back when
they first started putting out Easter goodies. They must have been either really popular
or each store got in ONE kit.

This bunny definitely looks like he has been hopping down the bunny trail!

This was my purchase at the store called
Fabulous Finds in Adrian, Michigan
that I told you about a few posts ago. Isn't he sweet??

Please disregard the fall leaves {ahem} from last year. I did get them cleaned up
AFTER I took this photo.

I am so far behind, but I wanted to show you what my hubby Mr. Wayside brought me.

I woke up the day after St. Patrick's Day to these beautiful cookies
sitting on my kitchen table. I told hubby that he staged them perfectly!
They were DELICIOUS and I loved that he thought of me.

Are you busy with Easter preparations?

I have some of my kids coming in this weekend and we will have the traditional Easter Egg hunt
after lunch Sunday, but first we will go to church to celebrate our risen Savior!!

HE HAS RISEN AND HE IS ALIVE!!

Blessings~

Strawberry basil water

I don't know about all of you, but I basically live on water. I used to drink a lot of soda,
{or pop depending on what part of the country you are from} but it is now a rare day
that I drink anything but water.  Even when we go out to eat I almost always get
water with lemon.  I figure at my age I do not need those extra calories!

I found this strawberry / basil water on pinterest today and decided to make some.
I have strawberries and I have basil so I was good to go!

All you do is put water in a pitcher , add some sliced strawberries and some basil leaves
{I crushed mine a bit or muddled them so the basil flavor would come through},
put it in the refrigerator for a couple hours and you have a pretty light pink yummy
water to drink.

Perfect for a summer day and I figure I earned it.  I have already stained two 8 foot fence
sections front and back today , cleaned and swept out the car, did the dishes, etc. lol.

I see my deck needs power washed again. Well, that is one thing I did NOT do today. ha!
Now I need someone to drink with!!!!!! :)

I wanted to show this photo to you as well. My bff has the most beautiful home ever and she has
been in the process of a major remodel for weeks, I mean months, oops I guess it has been years
now and it is turning out just beautiful , but then I knew it would. This is her new *old*
breadboard...isn't it amazing!!  I just knew you would love it.
Happy Thursday...I can see the weekend approaching !! :)

Tuscany, Here I Come !

I think I will hop a plane and fly off to the Tuscan villa today and
just take life easy for awhile.
Pick wildflowers,
take photographs
go to the Parisian marketplace and
peruse the french goodies,
run barefoot through the fountains...
*just for today*
Doesn't it sound heavenly...
Want to come along?
Hey, a girl can dream can't she...
Blessings~
