Three precious teacups all in a row
My oh my just where did they go
Why they went to Katies in Texas you see
Just in time for a lovely spot of tea!
Okay, okay I KNOW I am not a poet, but sometimes I just can't help myself. I was the owner of these gorgeous teacups until I sold them on my Etsy site ,but aren't they so pretty. I am amazed at the pretty things that I have for awhile and then get rid of, but I guess it is like most things in life. They must move along (to make room for other pretties of course) I have certainly owned and then resold my fair share of beautiful items and the hunt for new pretties continues to go on. It is just something I love to do and most items I find I buy at a very cheap price so it isn't like I spend out a lot of dough. God knows I can't afford that right now. Although I will say that hubby has gotten in a couple 40 hour weeks lately and we are praising God for that.
Do you get Better Homes and Gardens magazine? I have never really been fond of it, but when my Country Home magazine ceased they sent me BHAG to replace it. I received my first copy this past week. It has a recipe for Basil Lemonade in it that I want to try soon. In case you don't get it here is the recipe:
12 cups cold water
2 (12 ounce each) cans frozen lemonade concentrate , thawed
1/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/2 cup firmly packed fresh basil leaves, torn
Lemon slices and fresh basil In extra large bowl or pitcher combine water, lemonade concentrate, sugar, and lime juice. Stir well to combine. Stir in torn basil leaves. Cover; refrigerate 8 hours.
Strain through a fine mesh strainer into serving container. Discard basil leaves. Chill up to 3 days.
Serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh basil.
Doesn't it sound heavenly? I love anything with basil in it so this is sure to be a hit. Although I think I will only make half a recipe for hubby and I. I think the whole recipe would be a bit much. On second thought maybe I should make the whole thing! Then I could invite all of you over...wouldn't that be nice...if only life were that simple.
I do hope you have a wonderful day today!
I told Kim over at Shabby Pink and Pretty blog that I would do teacup Tuesday today so be sure and pop over to enjoy more teacups if you are so inclined.
Enjoy and blessings~
