Simple inspiration board

A stop at TJ Maxx this past summer yielded this
beautiful linen covered *inspiration board*.

All this time it has been sitting in my studio just waiting
for *moi* to do something with it.

I started with simple vintage felt letters and some old
millinery.

Next I added a silver glittered heart and a
bit of trim from a package received...

Some of that lucious crinkled seam binding...

a beautiful vintage bracelet...

a button that you can barely see in this photo...

and finally a cross...

It is sitting on my dining room hutch for now...

What do you think?

Blessings~

White Wednesday treasures {a little early}

I cannot visit my daughter without going
treasure hunting and I found
some amazing items at great prices!
this apothcary jar stands 16 and 1/4 inches tall
and it was only 9.99 at Home Goods...
my favorite store~
I just love antique lace and have been looking for
some in narrow widths and they are pretty hard to find.
Imagine my sheer delight when I found a quart size
ziploc bag stuffed full of beautiful antique lace
for $3.00!

Yards and yards of beautiful lace!

couldn't pass up this vintage hat loaded with
lily-of-the-valley millinery...$4.00

more of the luscious lace !
I also purchased the beautiful linens that the hat
is laying on ...4 napkins,12 placemats and 1
long runner....regular $28 for $8.00!
a beautiful tattered pillow that I also found at
Home Goods
salt and pepper shakers for $3.00.

I have more goodies to share , but will save
them for another day.

I hope you have a beautiful day today.
Be sure and visit Kathleen {on Wednesday}
at Faded Charm for more beautiful WW posts.

Blessings~

A couple garage sale finds

Every year {when I remember. lol} I go to a fair
foundation garage sale that is only about 9 miles
from our house and this past Saturday was
the big day.
I fell in love with this glass beaded purse.
{the back is fully beaded too , but in a different pattern}
I passed it up the first time around.
{it was in a ziploc bag and marked $8.00}

The inside is immaculate and has a Ivey's tag.
The elderly lady selling
it told me she just brought it back from Florida.
I ended up paying $6.00 for it ~

I also love these salt and peppers with their silver
crown tops. Actually, I found these at an
antique store and paid $4.00 for them.
{I do have the pair, but only one made it into the picture}
I also got other goodies at the garage sale that include
a vintage necklace with bling{$3.00},
adorable postcards {50 cents}, and
a white tablecloth edged in lace {$2},
but didn't get photos taken of them yet.

Have you found any goodies lately? Praying you have a wonderful Thursday~ Blessings~

Inspired Creativity ~

I rarely do two posts in one day, but I had a little inspired creativity going on today so I wanted to share it.
I got this idea from Notes From a Cottage Industry and I love it. In fact I loved it so much that I ran out and rescued these glass votives that I had in my garage sale last week before they were swooped up for 10 cents each! I used pages from an old french reading book, seam binding ribbon and vintage millinery flowers.
Tracey has a tutorial that you can use if you click here. These are so easy to make and are just beautiful! I pretty much made them as she suggested, but they would also be pretty with buttons , bling etc. instead of flowers. Your imagination is the limit!

88th Post and Christmas Goodies...

I can't believe this is my 88th post! Wow...who would have thought? Stay tuned because I am planning a giveaway on my 100th post...or maybe on post number 101 to be different...LOL I have also had a little time to create today so I made a few more mitten ornaments that are covered in glass glitter and embellished with vintage millinery,lace and ribbon. Each one also includes a darling curly silver hanger. I just listed these in my Etsy shop. Blessings!
