Another year has passed and along with that somehow I am also a year older!! Go figure! lol
Where oh where do the years go? I am constantly amazed at how fast time flies. When I was
young I couldn't wait to be 30 years old and now...I would still like be that age, but know
what I know now. :)

My youngest son and his family took me out to eat on my special day and also presented me
with a dozen pink lemonade cake balls.

They are just delicious and I had to share them with you. I wish you could taste them!
{ I have been hanging on to five of them just to take more photos. lol.}

My little granddaughters Annika and Ainsley both looked so beautiful  in their pretty dresses and
their tiny fingernails were all painted up with pink polish when I arrived at their house.  I was
really bummed that I forgot my camera and my phone camera doesn't take great quality photos,
but the memories will linger in my heart forever.  Annika informed me on the way to the
 restaurant that her daddy painted her nails...not her mommy! Love it!!

I thought I would taste this one for you and see what you think.
What is your verdict?? I know you love them as much as I do!  

I am going to try my hand at making some of these soon!! I found several recipes when I googled, but
they are all made basically alike and sound so messy easy!

Oh my goodness...notice the dust on the left hand side of the*five* ?? That is one thing that
close up photos do...they pick up every detail! lol.

My cake balls were presented in this container with pink tissue paper with the silver flowers on top.
  I was told that I don't get the rest of my gift until we go to my older son's house next weekend.
Annika whispered to her daddy about it and he told her they have to wait a few days.
 It sure is hard for little people to wait...and sometimes bigger people too! ha!

Fairies and finds

I have been flitting about lately like a fairy picking up this and that with my magic wand and I
thought  you might like to see what it found.  :)

These numbers in the original box for 70 cents. The buttons were 21 cents.

{I know I promised I would wash the window , but it has been too cold or if it has been
warm enough then I forget so please bear with me}

Loving this old sewing machine drawer that I found at the same store. {a local store that I frequent}
 It was regular $8 , but on sale for $5.68. I will use it to hold some food or pretties at the fairy party.

  Oh, did I not mention that? I am deep in the planning stages of a fairy party for my
grand girls this summer. That is  why you will see me flitting about on any given day
 collecting items that my beautiful  little fairies might need. 

Found these bottles at Home Goods for 3.99 each. Dish soap or hand soap?

{I initially thought I had purchased these at TJ Maxx, but then remembered it
was Home Goods}

Couldn't pass this up for 3.99 either...it will probably hold candles for the party.

Lovely Paris note card set from  TJ Maxx  again for 4.99...or maybe Marshalls? I went to
all these stores in one day and I do get kinda mixed up. lol.  I adore pretty papers
and I always have.  I actually do use them, but I have accumulated quite a stash.

Here is the beautiful box again from a local store...love it.

What fairy doesn't want to add some twinkle to her life? These boxes of silver twinkle letters and swirls
were only 1.99 each at TJ  Maxx...can you tell that I love that store?  These boxes measure 5 x 7 inches
and hold a lot of chipboard twinkle goodness. Still can't get over the price! As you can see I picked
up several.

Last , but not least I received a $5 coupon in the mail to a local gift/book store for my birthday
(coming up) for any book they had...this caught my eye and won me over.

I will be sharing more fairy goodness soon I hope. I have purchased fairy clothes, shoes, and all  kinds
of goodies for my little fairies to have a grand time. It will be under the *big top* and we will make
plenty of memories! {in my new white tent} No boys allowed that day...it will just be for my beautiful,
sweet girl fairies!! 

French Antiquing

I just finished doing my aerobics on my WII Fit and to change it up I tried the hoola hoop!
OH MY GOODNESS!
My hips and knees will never be the same. I hope I can get out of bed tomorrow. :)

 For now I am resting a bit and thought I would share my latest photos from Leslie's french booth
with you.  Love this french antique bird cage...thought it might go home with me, but I left it
for someone else to enjoy.

Lavender is one of my favorite herbs/flowers. It is always so pretty no matter
how it is displayed.

Aren't these clips amazing?? I know...I loved so many of her items, but I am running
out of room. So much so that I need to have a big sale this year since I no longer
have a booth to stock with my castoffs. :)

A neat piece of vintage iron

I know many of you out in blogland will love this piece !

I had to be very careful  while taking this photo that I did not get a reflection of myself  in
 the mirror. That has happened more times than I care to admit.

Just plain gorgeousness all around!

Simple Markers

I meant to share these little goodies with you long before this, but alas I never did so there is no
time like the present.  I had purchased this type of corner bookmarks last fall on Etsy and thought
it was such a neat idea.  Some time after that while I was watching TV with hubby I decided to make
 my own version and here they are.

I found out quickly that pretty magazine pages make the best ones! I had several pottery barn
magazines and started ripping out the pages and creating bookmarks. Doesn't it look so pretty
on this book?

From a spring/summer edition I made garden markers.

From a fall/winter magazine I made "warmth" markers.  If you look in the background you can see
that I got carried away making them and I have enough to give away for the next year or so!! :)
Once I started I just couldn't stop. It was like a game seeing how unique each one turned out.

The sky is the limit on these and they are so fun and easy to make. I don't have a tutorial,
but I am betting if you tried google you just might find one.

I put them in sets to give away and I love this set. Such pretty  neutral tones and perfect
for my colors. What have you been making lately?

The weather here is so windy and gloomy so I had to use my flash. Sorry, but this is the best I
could do for today.  

Love and french toast {and a winner!}

Have I ever told you that I love my grandchildren?? Now I am not a sit in a rocking chair, knit hats
and blankets kind of grandma, but I do love a visit every now and then. lol. It just so happens that
my 12 year old granddaughter Allysha has been visiting this week. We brought her home with us
when we visited my daughter this past weekend. {she is homeschooled and is keeping up on her
work while she is here}
The days are swiftly passing by so we have to make the most of our time together. I decided to make
 her a special breakfast this morning amd it was so yummy!!  French toast made with french bread
and fresh fruit.  Delicious!

One of my other little granddaughters, Annika, was so excited when we stopped by for a
visit a few days ago. I had no sooner stepped inside the door when she said "Follow me
Grandma" and off she ran.  I stayed close behind her, half running into her bedroom where
she picked up this paper heart and handed it to me. She was just beaming ...her sweet
 little 4 year old face all aglow!  She had written *Grandma Sandi* on the back of
 it in black marker,  glued little white hearts all over the front and colored it pink.
Her mommy told me that Annika had worked on it most of the day...just for me!
If that doesn't say *Love* then I don't know what does.

 I adore it and it will always have a special place in my home.
 This is the same little sweetie that tells me every once in awhile that
 "she misses the sound of my voice". Precious memories in the making!
