Creating more garlands...

I have been busy creating more one - of - a - kind garlands.

Loving this pastel colored one.

It is already sold...yay! :)

I just love the pretty colors.  What a great garland for spring!

Here is another one in neutral colors

I will continue to make these as time allows and I hope to get some listed in my Etsy store soon.

Creation of a tattered garland...

I saw a garland on facebook that someone had made and it gave me the motivation that I have been needing
to make one. I have been wanting to do it for a few months, but just never sat down and started before this,
so start I did and am I ever glad!

I am loving the way it turned out!

The sky is the limit on these fun beauties! Any color, any fabric, trim etc.

long...short...old...new...

A work in progress in my dining room

How fun would these be hanging outside in the summer

just because...
OR ...for a garden party, in a potting shed, on a porch ...anywhere really!! :)

I do believe I will be making more.
I want to make a soft pastel one soon and I can't wait to see how it
turns out.

A few of them just might land in my Etsy shop as well so be on the lookout
if you are interested.

Happy Sunday!

Spring in the linen closet??

Oh how I am longgggging for Spring!! YES...SPRING...full blown spring!! I know many of you
are as well so here's to hoping it arrives soon!!

Today I gathered up some of my supplies and my oodles of vintage flowers and made a
couple vintage flower garlands. The lighting still isn't all that great so I only have this
one photo for you. Hopefully more soon. I love how it turned out.

I have held onto this fabric above for a few years and I am GOING to get something made
out of it this year. I WILL...I WILL...remind me of that later will ya?? :)

Stashes of my gorgeous lace that I had to share with you when I saw how pretty it looked stacked up
all together. This is a drop in the bucket of what I have and I love it all.

More laces and doilies...in LOVE...Happy Spring my dear friends even though it has
not arrived here yet...hopefully soon.  If we keep thinking that,  it just may arrive and surprise us all!!

Spring has sprung round the house

I have been told to get on the ball and post something...anything...so here we are.
I was wandering around the house today and thought I would take some photos of
my vintage shutter in my bedroom.

I added this glittter slipper ornament  and lace a week or so ago...

...and today I added this flower garland that I made a few years ago...

...yep , I tend to hold onto things forever. Maybe it is time to make a new one?

I shot from this angle and that angle...

...up high...

...down low...

...
and every which way. ha!

Sorry if you are a bit overwhelmed with all the pics...

I have been overwhelmed for days, but I think there is a light
at the end of the tunnel...it is barely flickering , but I can see it!!

...and I am trusting God to work all things out. So thankful that I have Him to lean on
in troubled times. God is good...all the time!

Peace, Love, Joy and Hope

I did a little after Christmas shopping one day last week and found these adorable white
frosted pine and bell garlands so I purchased the last two @ 50% off.

I hung them on my chippy white shutters and took a few pictures.
I do  love taking pictures. :)

Don't you just love the simplicity ? I do.

I was thinking that these would make neat postcards or notecards.
What do you think?  I may check into that.

Praying that whatever is going on in your life right now, that you are at peace and
have love and joy in your heart. If by chance you are going through hard times,
please don't give up...there is always hope.

Are you ready...

...for the holidays? For all the hustle and bustle, happy people, cranky people, the extra lbs. packed on from all the holiday goodies, finding that perfect gift, busy stores with people bumping and jostling, that white stuff that falls from the sky snow? Are you ready??

I am not. Seems like the older I get the faster it seems to arrive each year.  Since we have simplified our gift giving it is not nearly as stressful as in years past, but I am still not ready. We are having Christmas with our children and grandchildren at Thanksgiving so I guess I better get ready huh? It is only 16 days away!

I need to start wrapping gifts for the grands and just get in the Christmas mood. Maybe some fa-la-la music would help?

Yes, the celebrating  is just around the corner...reminds me of an old game ...
ready or not...here I come it comes!

I had to show you some of my recent finds. Aren't these the neatest old suitcases ever...AND they are WHITE! :)

Haven't figured out yet which room they will end up in , but for now they are just sitting on the floor in the dining room.

One has a blue lining and one has RED! Not so fond of red, but at least it is inside. ha!

This is a must have for all of us who love to create. Guess where I found it?? No ...not Hobby Lobby, or Michaels or any other craft store. TJ Maxx!! Can you believe it? It was only $1.99 for this large size. I am just tellin' ya so you can check out your TJ Maxx stores if you so desire.

I purchased three of these old white chippy shutters a few weeks ago and am thinking I need to go and get the other three that I left behind. I am going to do great things with these just you wait and see. lol

My blogger jumbled my photos again so they are not in the right order , but such is the life of a blogger lady. {hee hee} I found the white glittery pinecone garlands at Michaels. The candle is Cranberry Fig, again from TJ Maxx and it smells wonderful! Joining Kathleen again over at Faded Charm for White Wednesday this week.

Lovin' those thrift store finds~

It is another cold...brr...day in Michigan today so
the plan for me is to stay indoors and maybe get some
more creating done. However before I get to that
I thought I would show you a few of my finds lately.

Still loving this Sander tablecloth. This is the tag that is
on it. If anyone can decifer for me I think that would be
wonderful. Right now it is my favorite tablecloth!

Thinking outside the box here. I found these crown
earrings on clearance at Claire's after Christmas
in their 10/$10 bins. I found four sets and they will be
used to embellish bottles at some point.
{they were regular $10 per card!}

This bottle was 1.50 at the antique store so I had to snatch it. Haven't a clue what I will do with it yet. Maybe just display??

Have you ever seen a heart bottlebrush garland? This was at the Goodwill too with the TJ Maxx tag still attached. It will be heading up to my booth soon.

This candle is so much prettier in person! I received one for a Christmas gift and I found this one the other day at the Goodwill. My first one is all used up so was tickled to find this one. They are from Kohl's.

Oh my goodness! How in the world did this little sweetie end up in my thrift store finds?? Well she was NO thrift store find at all, but I would have scooped her up had she been!! LOL

I just found these this past week. Neat silver creamer and beautiful vintage rose plates. 50 cents each.

Vintage Iris pitcher at the Goodwill as well...

I purchased this set before Christmas. It was found at
an estate sale. Have you ever seen one of these sets? The custard cups are marked Pyrex and the deep bowl
that they set in is marked Fire King.

Now I need to get busy before the whole day is gone and
I have accomplished nothing. I hope you have a
wonderful Monday!! Blessings~
