Vintage Barn Market

I wanted to share my friend Marian's store with you. She has rented out a partial store
in Delta, Ohio and named it
Vintage Barn Market.

She has transformed it beautifully!! I love her style, decor and amazing talent!!

{Sorry this photo is a little blurry, but I just had to include it. Yesterday when I was there someone
had purchased all the clay pots in the cubby so they are gone now}

I believe this gorgeous piece above has found a new home already.

I love her attention to detail and all the nice pieces that she has to sell. I think my home needs
a makeover. ha! If I was just starting out setting up house, I would come here for furniture!

Isn't the chalkboard saying soooooooo cute!!! Love it! I may have to steal it Marian!! ::)

French style...YES please!

I love these bags!! I am afraid that I would be constantly broke if I lived any closer to this
 store. ha!

What a table! Look at the detail??

Sorry we have glare here, but a professional photographer I am not. Loving the old  fireplace
surround, the mirrors, oh... I just love it all!!

Marian must work constantly because she is always taking new pieces in to replace the ones
that have sold.

I fell in LOVE with this bench from the moment I saw it.

I love the table also, but it is too big for my house.  Just look at the detail on those legs!! I have never seen
a table like this. So GORGEOUS!!

P.S. The bench now resides in my home. YIPPEE!!!!!

Marian asked me to sell some of my treasures in her store so I was happy to oblige.

One of my fun little glittery nests...

Marian and her hubby sure keep busy painting and they do an awesome job!

A beautiful beveled mirror!

I hope you enjoyed your visit to Vintage Barn Market today.  If you want to connect with Marian on
facebook you can click here.  Be sure and tell her that I sent you. :)
Happy Wednesday ~

PS Can I ask you for to bombard heaven for my daughters family please?? Life is so hard sometimes,
especially when you least expect it...:(

Somehow I forgot to show you!

I was going through my files of photos when I ran across
a few things that I scooped up this summer and somehow
they never made it onto my blog.

I was aghast! How could that be?
I am here to correct that today. lol.
Now these aren't the greatest pictures, but
you will at least get to see my lovelies.

Love this birdcage on a stand that I found later this
past summer.

Then remember this post??
I rescued this old pink table from *the barn*.
I gave her a good sanding and intended to paint
her white, but haven't gotten that done yet.
love her!

Look at the wonderful detail on the legs
and skirt around the top of the table.

All cleaned up...
Before cleaning...yes she was very dirty! :)

...and again how can we forget this post?
I also purchased this antique baby crib/buggy
for $5.00!!!!! Can you believe that price?? amazing what a person can find for not
many greenbacks.

*this is what the previous post said about this goody*

I did get another neat display item for $5.00 too that I was just as shocked about, but will share that after a coat of white paint. It has four wheels...and is so darn cute!

I realized today that I had never shown it to you
nor did I get it painted white...
what do you think??
worth the $5 I paid??

Happy Friday and wonderful weekend ahead! Blessings~

We have a winner!

We have a winner for my vintage silverware
garden markers.
I think it was just meant to be.

She has the same name as mine
{even spells it the same}

she calls me her
*fairy blogmother*

drum roll please...

If you guessed

Sandi from A Cottage Muse

you are correct!

Congratulations Sandi

{and for all you that didn't win...
I do sell them in my Etsy store. lol.}
Don't you just love my white table and chairs? I have been wanting one for our back deck and when I saw
Kathleens from Faded Charm that she purchased at the
Goodwill I really wanted a set.

I thought about running over to the Goodwill , but really
what were my chances that they would have a set...
I say slim to none. lol.

Then it hit me...I already had this set.
It has been sitting in my back entry way/porch
for several years.

{it is a Martha set that I purchased at Kmart}

Although it looked very pretty where it was,
it didn't get much use at all.
I grabbed it, took off the chair cushions
and schlepped it out the door.

I love it in it's new home.

Hubby and I sat there last night and ate our dinner...
I think it will get lots of use now.

blessings~

My Creative Space ~

I have had some requests for pictures of "where I create" so I am finally listing some pictures. Some things need to be put away, but I decided to go ahead and show the pictures anyways.
I am starting inside the door and we will follow the room around from the right to the left.
Love these for storage ~
I have a white chenille coverlet hanging in the doorway with a cast iron hook that I swag it back with...
Stashes of fabric, lace , binders etc. I tear pretty pictures out of some of my magazines and put them in clear sleeves and add them to a three ring binder....some magazines I will not tear up because they are too special ~
There actually is a antique chair with a white cover on it underneath the pile of aprons....I warned you that everything is not put away...LOL. I love my chippy green little four drawer stand...got it at a garage sale several years ago for $1.00 ....hubby made me a new wooden filing cabinet to replace this metal one, but I have not gotten it painted yet...it is on my "to do" list ~ This door leads outside and we never use it so we would like to take it out hopefully this summer...I just plopped my vintage shoe holder on a fabric covered board until I find a better place for it. It is full of goodies~ I covered my six foot long table with another white chenille spread and store totes underneath it with that are filled with supplies etc. ~
Love this little cubby hole cupboard that I have filled with rick rack and seam bindings ~
An old metal magazine rack that I repainted holds more spools of ribbon and punches and an antique wooden towel rack holds my tissue paper and some ribbons (sorry it looks kinda messy here) ~
My hubby made this pie safe for me years ago and it now holds all kinds of linens and baskets of goodies. I would like to paint it one of these days ~
I hope you enjoyed the "tour" of my creative space. If you can visualize off to the left of this last picture is my computer stand and it is right beside the doorway where we first started...it was too messy to show you! LOL I did forget the picture of my white storage unit on the left side of my pie safe hanging on the wall...you can see just a corner of it here. Blessings ~

Wonderful Chippy Rusty Find ~

Isn't this the greatest shabby find ?? I found it last Friday on our adventures around the county.
We stopped at a garage sale, one of my favorite thrift stores and another little store that I LOVE and that is where I found this item. I really don't know if you would call it a table or what, but I can just see pots of herbs or flowers sitting in it and trailing over the side. Any other ideas?
I would love to hear them...
When I saw that this gem was only 5.99 I just had to pick it up. The people who own the store know me by name and the gentleman could not believe I would want this rusty old thing. I said YES of course I do! (LOL) I told him my husband was sitting out in the car and would be shaking his head when I carried it out and boy was I spot on. TOO FUNNY! But hubby really doesn't mind what I buy...he is just a cabinet builder (on the side) and still hasn't figured out why people would want things that are chippy, rusty and distressed looking.
I will say though that he doesn't mind at all what I carry in the house and is very easy going with my style of decorating. Have a wonderful day filled with unexpected blessings ~
