Loving the Country Life

Have I ever told you that I love living in the country? I have been a country gal all my life and I just
can't imagine living in the city.

I love all the beautiful old barns that we have in
our area and yesterday we took a drive and I
photographed a few.

This setting of barns and old buildings was just amazing. I want to go back and get some better pictures when
I am by myself. Most of these were taken out of the
car window as hubby was beginning to be
*nervous nellie*
with the traffic. He gets that way...not me!
I just want pictures! LOL

I will say that these were on a very busy corner of a
highway so next time I will have to probably park
the car in someone's driveway and walk, but
I think it is worth it! I just love chippy old buildings!

No matter the angle of this setting...pure beauty.

I would love to live here. There was a house , but it was not close to the buildings, so we don't know if it was the owner or not.

The two photos below are how Queen Anne's Lace grows in our area! All along the roads, fields, etc. We literally saw fields that were full of it.

As much as I converse with sages and heroes,
they have very little of my love and admiration.
I long for rural and domestic scene, for the
warbling of birds and the prattling of my children.
~John Adams

It is only in the country that we can get to know
a person or a book.

Blessings and happy monday!

Hello Sandi... oooh, how beautiful! I am a born and raised country girl! You need to sign up for the Barn Chicks party that I have posted on my blog! It's not until August 6th so you have plenty of time to photo more barns! I do not like big cities at all... and I love how the shabby chippy look fits right in with the way I love to decorate... to me the Country look and lifestyle will never go out of style! LOVE Queen Anne's Lace so much! xoxo Julie Marie

I know what you mean about the country...I'm a country girl myself. I just love those barns....they just need an old white farmhouse in a field and it would be perfect!
