LOVE the french design on the container. I haven't googled yet to get it translated, but I will. |
This is what they are supposed to look like when in bloom. WISH ME L.U.C.K! I do not have a green thumb for inside transplants. |
I was very surprised at the huge bulbs. |
The bulb on the left was busting out of the container when he purchased it. |
Have you ever tried to grow one of these? Please give me your tips if you have. I need all the help I can get. ha! Christmas is almost here...BLESSINGS! |

Hello Sandi, what a beautiful early gift!... my French is not as fluent as it used to be (terrible I know, since I am half French), but it says something to the effect of a locksmith shop and the name of it... I have grown amaryllis before, and I love them!... Mine grew so tall I had to stake them to keep them from tipping over... the only other advice I have is keep them moist but not overwatered, and they like it cooler rather than warm... good luck those will be gorgeous and blooming soon!... xoxo... Julie Marie
So pretty!
Love them, Sandi! The box they came in is great. Very pretty and I'm sure once the flowers bloom the whole thing is going to look beautiful.
Sandi,
Love your french box and at half price even sweeter!!! I have never grown amaryllis but I am sure they will be gorgeous when they start to bloom. Enjoy your Christmas with your wonderful family.
Merry Christmas.

I haven't ever grown one but my mom did every year as long as I can remember. She probably still does (she lives in Oregon and I don't see her much) she always told me they were easy to grow, but I've never tried.
I have loved your last posts on your decorating Sandi. Everything looks so beautiful at your house.
I want to thank you for the lovely card you sent. It came right when I was down with the flu so it really cheered me up.
Merry Christmas dear friend!!!!!
sending hugs...
What a sweet Christmas gift, Sandi! They are going to be just gorgeous! Yes, I agree with Julie Marie. Be sure to stake them so they don't topple over and break. I used a bamboo stick when I grew them years ago. Or you could just put a twig in the dirt and tie them to that. :)

Ohhhhhhhhhh, you'll love it. I bought The Runner one for his (late-November) birthday and he had SEVEN flowers at once. Just beautiful.
Bright light and not too much water.
Enjoy!

I'm not so good with indoor plants, but love this one, good luck, and Merry Christmas.
