Autumn has arrived!

A.U.T.U.M.N.

I am thinking this may be bittersweet OVERKILL...

so I may remove what is on the mirror and put it somewhere else.

I had it there a few days before I added the basket full and now it is like...

 WOW! ha!

Just a little decor on my front porch and back deck.

I love color outside my home in the fall, but still pretty much stick to neutrals inside.

A favorite arrangement on my back porch. I leave you with this thought:

Life fails to be perfect, but never fails to be beautiful!!

HAPPY AUTUMN to all my blogging friends!!

Hug a loved one today!!

Blessings~

Bittersweet

I can truly say that FALL is my favorite season! I do love the other seasons also,
but there is just something about autumn and the beautiful fall colors that
grabs all my attention and doesn't let go until winter is upon us.

Hubby and I hopped in his little ole' truck last weekend and drove up and down the
back roads hunting for bittersweet. It is so hard to come by now,  so I was thrilled
when we found a small patch.

I don't use much color in my fall decorating except for some bittersweet when I can
find it. {The hooks above are where I hang all my extra until I find the exact spot
where I want to place in my decor}

I  really think that a branch of it here and there is all that is needed to announce that
*FALL IS HERE*.

Just the right touch of fall above my french themed frame.

I remember my mom collecting bittersweet from the time I was very young. She started
the tradition and now since she isn't able to get out and look for it , I share mine with
her. We were very lucky to find any this year. I want to plant my own, but I have to find
the plants first. I tried it one year only to read later that you need a male plant and a
female plant for it to produce berries. Who knew?? :)

I will say that if you have little children , I do NOT recommend it as it is poisonous.

This is my welcome sign just inside the back door that I have probably shared with you before. I found
this old frame a couple years ago at a garage sale for $1.00. I painted it white and added a board that I
painted with chalkboard paint. I love it!

A few gourds along with bittersweet in my front porch decor. Will try to get more pictures later
and not just a *snippet*. lol

Delicious autumn! My very would is wedded to it and
if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking

 the successive autumns.

Warning: Lots of color ahead!!

While I keep the inside of my home pretty neutral, I do decorate outside with some color in the fall. I just have to!!  Mother Nature showers us with so many gorgeous hues that it would almost be a crime not to. These photos are part of my front porch decor. I added a few more things today. I think the overall look of the porch as a whole is still sparse, but  I can't spend all my money on pumpkins and gourds.  I do think that I might will get a few more though. P>

Once in awhile I stand back and look at this and think, "okay is it pretty or is it just too much and messy"?? HA! I have not changed a thing though.

Pumpkins and hydrangeas...can't get much better than this for fall.

These are the last of my hydrangeas for this year.  I didn't leave very many on my bush. In fact it is almost bare!!

Fall color abounds!

Little orange boo pumpkins. Same photo as the first one only for the very first photo I sat on the porch floor to take the picture. So many different angles makes many different photos of the same thing.

I fell in love with this white and green gourd the other day at the local greenhouse. I pawed through the huge container to get just the right ones.

The name of this pumpkin is *goosebumps*...appropriately named I think!! $1.99 each so I picked up a few.

Love the little curly-q stem on the one gourd!

Don't look too close as I noticed my mirror needs washing badly! lol.
So there you have it...a lot of color from my home to yours! HAPPY FALL everyone!!

Please keep my niece Megan in your prayers. She is in the hospital with a kidney stone or multiple stones and is expecting their first little one in December.  Her mother (my sister) lives in PA and Megan lives in Alabama.  It is very hard for her at this time because of course she wants to be with her daughter. I won't go into all the details, but just please pray. I know what the poor girl is going through as I have had them a few times and believe me I would rather go through labor.

Changing Seasons

I just love fall and I thought I would share some of my fall pictures today. I think the bittersweet goes so well with this copper watering can... This window box is on my potting shed and I love decorating it for the changing seasons. Enjoy!
