Fairy party...part three

I really thought that I could wrap up the fairy party in this post, but I will have to do one
more. My dial-up only lets me load so many pictures before it goes wonky on me so I
 am not going to push my luck. :)

Above was our drink for the day. Pink lemonade with 7 up. Perfect on a hot summer day.

Pink sugar wafers are perfect for a fairy party. {Did I sugar these kids up or what? lol}

I put the plates, napkins and cups in the wire basket in the vanity table where a drawer used to be.

{This photo was taken the night before so they aren't unwrapped yet}

Initially I had the tulle decoration running down the middle of the table long ways, but
I realized it had to go diagonal for each of the kiddos to have a place to actually color etc.

Loved the way my daughter-in-law Melissa fixed her hair so I had to snap a photo.
I should have purchased wings for my DIL's also. :)

Two happy little fairies...

Just some pretty decor to fill up space and hold the pink butterfly wands.

Little Ms Ainsley playing with the whirly gigs. She was such an adorable little fairy!

Fairy Keira just painted her nails and put pretty stickers on them. Did you notice the sweet
little necklaces that I found for them? I was going to make fairy dust necklaces, but as
luck would have it I found some on clearance at Claire's. Tiny little vials of pink glitter
along with a heart charm on a silver chain. They were the perfect size and color.

Three sweet little fairies holding their bags of jewels.

I wanted to get a photo of all the fairies together, but the littlest one did not cooperate. ha!!

Fairy Ainsley picking up more jewels. It is hard for me to realize that people in blogland
really don't want to see 500 photos of my grandchildren and it was so hard to choose. *smile*

Close up of a beautiful little fairy. We really did have a wonderful day and I know I overdid it
on the photos, but please bear with me and I promise I will wrap this up with the next post. :)

Celebrate life!!!

Oh my gosh... I knew it!! Fairies ARE real!!

The fairy party has come and gone, but we made many precious memories that will last a lifetime.

We set up the tent the night before the party was to take place and I got it all decorated in
 anticipation of my sweet fairies arrival the next day.

THEN...the skies got dark and the clouds started rolling in as the wind picked up a little.
I received a text from my son in which he told me if we got what they did that we were in for
quite a storm. So...we took all the decorations down along with the tent.

We ended up only getting about 10 minutes of a gentle rain. Not even enough to
say we really received any. :(
Next morning when I crawled out of bed, hubby had the tent all set back up for me
so I decorated it again. lol.
My oldest granddaughter Allysha was sure a big help to me. She was here all week long
to help me get ready and I couldn't have done it without her. Thank you so much
Allysha!! I LOVE YOU bunches!! :)
Pretty, pretty granddaughter.  She used her fingernail stickers on her lips and around her
eyes. :) Isn't she a beauty??!!

Once the party started we played a few fairy games and the girls just loved them.  In
a few of these pictures they are picking up sparkly jewels that are on the ground and putting
them in their pretty little fairy sacks.

Apparently a sweet little fairy was flying overhead while we were all inside the tent.
  She was so anxious to see what was going on at the party instead of paying  attention
to where  she was going. WHACK! She smacked  right into the tree and dropped all
her jewels!!  Silly little fairy anyway.

My sweet little fairies had a wonderful time and kept saying that the little flying fairy sure
 dropped a LOT of jewels. In the midst of gathering them up Annika {above} was just so
 excited and exclaimed {twice}, " Oh my gosh... I knew it!! Fairies ARE real".  So fun!!

Annika, Ainsley and Keira still searching for more jewels.

Pretty little fairy feet. I had such fun buying their outfits, shoes and wings along with
everything else. :)

The last game we played was a fairy treasure hunt and here they have found a clue.

Pretty little clue all tied up with string and ribbon.

Little Ms Ainsley dumped all her jewels on the ground and played with them for
awhile.

Sweet little fairies finding their loot at the end of the treasure hunt.

{I know these pictures go back and forth from one game to another and I didn't even
get one game included in the pix...sorry about that}

Fairy Ainsley loved this mirror and I was able to capture several cute poses.

I loved every minute of it, but I am telling you I am one tired grandma!! lol I am just doing my dishes
from last night and I am not one to leave dishes set at all.

Next post...fairy party decor...and more little fairy pictures of course.  :)
Enjoy!!

Decorating in silver and white {and sprigs of green}

Sharing a few more photos of my Christmas decor that I finished up yesterday. I purchased two bundles of greens from *the big box store* for $5 each {in the live flower section} and it really went a long way. This is a very long shelf in my kitchen that my daddy made for me years ago...out of oak...I painted it white a couple years ago , but we won't tell anyone. :)

This chair also sits in my kitchen and I love decorating it for the different seasons.
I picked up a few of the paper ball glitter ornies at Pottery Barn this past February on clearance for little of nothing. I love them. They are so pretty and sparkly.

My beautiful Joyeux Noel cone that I found on Etsy. I put some greens in it and then added a vintage sprig of berries.  {It still has the original Japan label on it}

My basket prettied up for the season.

I still adore my vintage silver ornies and try to pick unique ones up whenever I can. I purchased a few of the mercury glass trumpet ornies at Pottery Barn this past February on clearance for peanuts.
Sorry there is glare in this photo. The lighting has not been good at all so I had to use the flash.

A cute little sleigh that I found at Hobby Lobby a few years ago holding a vintage SILENT NIGHT ornament.

I picked up two of these linen stockings at the sidewalk sale this past summer. $2 each and they are monogrammed with *S* on the points of the cuff. I think it was meant to be. This hangs on my bathroom door.

A little fake charlie brown tree in my living room.

Wings and stars that I created that are also sitting on my long shelf in the kitchen. Should have got a photo of the whole shelf. oops.

Love my zinc pots and tart pans from Belgium. These are sitting on my windowsill also in the kitchen.
Hope you enjoyed your mini tour of my home decorated for Christmas!!
