My dad appeared much better today and was even laughing and joking with the nurses. In fact he had us all laughing! He also looked so much better than he did yesterday. Becky (his nurse) told us today about all the medicines he will be sent home with and what each one was for. She also gave us pamphlets telling all about stents, pictures of the heart and which artery was blocked etc. She was very thorough about everything and she really knows her stuff. He now has to carry a card in his wallet telling the location of all the stents. Very interesting, but a lot of information to digest. He is hoping to come home tomorrow, but we will see what the doctor says. Thank you all again so much for your prayers! Prayer definitely changes things~ Blessings~

Just a Little Something... ~
...that I have been working on.
I haven't decided whether to leave them in
BOWS
or
KNOTS~
What do you think?
This is a chest of drawers that I purchased at a garage sale
a few years ago for $5.00.
It did not have any handles and it has just been sitting upstairs unused.
I decided I needed more room in my studio
for storage so down it came.
I also did not want to
spend any money on handles so I made them out of muslin
with rubber stamped images.
Any thoughts?

Sandi, I love that idea - stamped muslin drawer pulls!!! Somerset Life has a muslin challenge coming up - you should get some good photos of the entire chest and also closeups of the muslin pulls and submit! I believe they take photos for larger objects.
Hi Sandi, I don't think the bows look too foofy! I love to stamp on muslin too. I did the window covering in our camp trailer in stamped muslin. A cheap and easy fix for the ugly ones that come in them. When they get dirty, I don't think they will wash, but so inexpensive that I'll just redo.
I'll have to do a post on them some day.
I just love the bows.

June

Hi Sandi!
I'm so happy to have found you...and your tip about zipperstop! What a great place. I immediately zipped on over and made a big 'ol purchase. I used to buy Midori, but this is quite a bit less expensive. I LOVE this stuff.
Glad to hear your dad is doing better. My husband had the same surgery as well.....and is about 8 years out now and doing GREAT!
Have a wonderful day,

So glad to hear the good news!
I like the knots...it seems to go with the *look* better. Isn't it amazing what brown ink on muslin will do? I've been playing with it too!
Have a great evening!

Sandi,
The bows are fantastic....
I know exactly what you and your family have been going through with your Dad...my husband had 5 stents put in last Tuesday...today our internist told us that the LAD artery that has the stents is called 'The Widow Maker'...he had never had heart problems before....usually a massive heart attack happens but by the grace of God he got there in time....
God Bless...Betty
