We welcomed Spring with a new grandchild!

What a way to welcome the
first day of spring... with a brand new life.

Our sixth grandchild.

Little Kanaan was not due for another 2 and 1/2 weeks,
but he decided he would make his arrival early.
Isn't he a doll baby?
6 lbs 8 ounces and 19 inches long
Look at his hair...the nurses say it is red
time will tell.
Would love another redhead in the family.
His daddy {our son} is a redhead.
The happy family... well little Keira wasn't here for the picture, but she loves her baby brother !

I am one exhausted grandma today! Saturday we decided to head out to a huge antique mall and other shopping that is about an hour and a half away. Had a fun time, but I was tired and SO ready to come home when we were done shopping. We got the phone call on the way home...

"Hi mom...just want to let you know that we are headed to the hospital"....REALLY????

He called again about 11:30 pm telling us that precious baby had arrived. YAY!

Sunday morning we went to church and then right on to Annika's 3rd birthday party and from there we took the two hour drive to the hospital to see our precious new Kanaan...very tired today , but it was so worth it holding another precious new life that God has given.

Today I am not doing anything!! lol Blessings~

What a handsome little boy ~ and I really mean it! Most babies look like they were *just born* (duh) but Kanaan is truly a pretty baby!
(And Mom looks really good for just having a baby!) I love the red hair. Our youngest daughter had hair like that when she was born, but it fell out and came in blonde!
Congratulations, Grandma!

Sandi amor, he is absolutely beautiful! I hope he gets the red hair too :) My youngest had the reddest hair when she was a bebe, now it is almost black, was so sad as I watched it darken...maybe a grandbebe one day will get to keep the red hair :) Congrats to you, and your whole family! Sandi, Congratulations on your new beautiful "handsome" grandson...he certainly looked like he was ready to be born and looks very healthy...I'm a bit jealous as I have 2 DGC - a GS who is 19 & a Freshman in college & a GD who just turned 13 and they are the "engine & the caboose"...there is nothing like grandbabies...congratulates the mother and father...Hugs, Marilynne in TN
