A simple Christmas package and a serenade

My bff and I had a fun day out today and I put together
a simple gift bag for her before I headed out the door.

I used a Pottery Barn bag , but wanted to cover up the
words so I grabbed some tea stained paper doilies for each
side and quickly glued them on.

Then I rubber stamped some pretty images on
them.

I added some ribbon, string and tissue paper and called it done.

Very simple and easy yet pleasing to the eye.

This young lady and her siblings serenaded us at
Seasons Coffee and Bistro in Bryan, Ohio while we
were eating lunch and it was just beautiful! I was told
that they are all homeschooled and it was very obvious
that they are all very talented.
{There were four violinists playing along with the harpist}
I love harp and violin music and was just thrilled
to hear them.

Blessings~

Snadi the way you altered the gift bag turned out beautifully. I would love to use this idea in some of my own gift giving this year. What a lovely touch!

...I see you've been a "dirty" girl too!! ~ LOL!!
LOVE IT!!

~ and the violin and harpist too!
One year, for a valentine party, I hired a harpist for the background ambiance and it is truely romantic dreaminess!!

That's such a great idea--you made the bag so beautiful! I love the idea of "upcycling" shopping bags that way!

What a great idea for the PB bag, Sandi! I am always saving bags from stores, the kind that are too nice to toss. Thanks for sharing such a pretty idea, I just may have to borrow it:)

Sounds like something we all would enjoy...glad you had a chance to enjoy the music and a nice luncheon.
I think that home schooled children are the best behaved children in the world...we always notice them in restaurants that we happen to be in when they are...and if there is a family of them...they are perfect little ladies and gentlemen and are so sweet to each other and respectful to their parents.
I always try to go out of my way to say something to them and their parents about that fact. And the compliment is always taken graciously.

Oh, Sandi, Ainsley is just precious snuggled in your loving arms! I envy you having a wee one to cradle! May I borrow her?

Been really sick since getting back from AZ so doing catch up, sorry.

I love your dashing home decor, the elegance of the tree & all the beautiful creations you have surrounded 'her' with.

Your gift bag, WOWZERS! I love that idea but then I have no idea how to do the tea thingy & stamping, but it is such a personal welcoming touch to the gift. You are one awesome gal.

And, what a lovely time you & bff had ... wish I were closer to join you both.

I'll call you sometime this week, I need a voice first.

Have a blessed & beautiful Christmas ~
Love you, my special friend ~
