Cookies, chips and crackers

I wanted to share some information with you that I think you just need to know. :)  I purchased these tiny heart shaped lemon cookies at a cute little pastry shop Walmart! I think they should be at a cute little pastry shop instead of a big box store, but nevertheless that is where they were found. They have a whole line of these cookies and crackers that are *a taste of* and these are a *taste of France*. I found out when I got home and opened the box that they are also infused with dried lavender.  They are delicious!

This is the box that you will want to hunt down in the cooker/cracker aisle, but please no tackling other customers to get to them. I think they will have plenty on hand for everyone. :)

Next on my must have list are these potato chips. Olive Oil and Rosemary! I absolutely love most anything made with Rosemary so when I found these at TJ Maxx several months ago I had to try them. I have been buying them ever since, but it is hit and miss and sometimes they are hard to find. {for petes sake why am I telling you then?? :} All natural with the only ingredients being potatoes, olive oil, rosemary and sea salt.

Last , but not least are these Westminster Crackers.  We ate these crackers somewhere { I think maybe Cracker Barrel...that makes sense doesn't it?} in individual packages and they are the best saltines I have ever tasted so I was happy to find them at Home Goods yesterday as well.  They are made with seven all natural ingredients. You can also check them out at http://www.westminstercrackers.com/

Yep these little cookies are soooooo good...please let me know if you try any of these and what you think.
...and now for the very best part...they are ALL made in the U.S.A!!! YAY!

Jeanne d' Arc style candleholders...part 2

I made some more votive candleholders in the Jeanne de' Arc style today and wanted to share them with you.

Two years ago hubby received a Keurig coffee maker for Christmas from yours truly and ever since then we have had extra coffee filters laying around so I used a few of them for this project.
I took a coffee filter and laid it on a paper towel, flattened it out somewhat and started stamping with my script rubber stamp.

{  No certain way to do it. It will look great no matter how you stamp it}
I stamped until I had filled one whole side .
Then I turned the filter upside down (rubber stamped image on the underside) and sat my glass candleholder in the middle.

I scrunched the coffee filter up around it ...
...tied a piece of jute around it and added a charm.

I put in tealight candles and I was done! :)

Now you have something else to do with your extra coffee filters too. :)

Be still and know...

New hydrangea from my garden.
So much more delicate and fragile than my other hydrangeas.

I think that we all have days when we feel very fragile too. I know I do.
On those days we need to put our trust in God and remember that He alone is God...
that He is in control...not me, but Him. Sometimes in our humanness that is hard to do,
but if we could just realize that the best place we can be is in God's hands how much
better off our days would go.

Wishing you all a beautiful weekend ~

Jeanne d'arc style angel wing ornies...{update}

I purchased an assortment of angel wings at a garage sale this summer and a few of them were already in the giveaway pile until this past week when I had an Ah-ha moment. Do you ever have those?   Look and look at something that is just plain ugly and all of a sudden an idea pops into your head?  Then later that idea actually comes to fruition? Love it!  I quickly yanked them back out of the pile and started creating.

I must say from almost giving them away to having them turn out like this...I am very happy.
Several angel wing ornaments hanging out together makes me smile. :)

In true Jeanne d' arc style,  I added a cross to this one.
These will be for sale soon. Not sure if they will land in my Etsy store or if I will just sell them off my blog.
I tried really hard to save this post until tomorrow, but I just couldn't do it. :)  However, I will be joining Kathleen over at Faded Charm for White Wednesday this week and I hope you can join us too. There is always much inspiration to see. I am off to try and find some more angel wings...

Update: Imagine my surprise when I was looking at these photos again today {Tuesday} and realized that I stamped the script on most if not all of them UPSIDE DOWN! Oh my goodness...I really need to pay more attention to what I am doing.  Still love them though...:)

Joyeux Noel...a little early! :)

I found an Etsy shop called EAB designs that I just fell in love with a few weeks ago. I immediately
purchased one of the linen  Joyeux Noel cones and was thrilled when it arrived.

Julie adds a vintage french religious medal to each one and I think it is a perfect finishing touch. I  took photos from different angles and couldn't decide which ones to put on my post so you are getting all of them. Hope you don't mind. lol.
Very nice quality craftmanship ...love the scalloped top edge too. I added a bit of hydrangea for the pictures. When it gets closer to Christmas I will add some greens or other holiday decor.

Isn't it beautiful?

This is the photo that I wanted to open my post with , but somehow it got put in the middle of the post. I tried to move it to no avail until I found it wayyyyyy at the bottom of my post underneath my signature.  So.....then I tried to move my signature back down and I blew it away. Yep...it is out there in cyberspace somewhere. hee hee.

.
Wishing each one of you a blessed Sunday~
xoxo,
Sandi

" I had the most wonderful day ever paw paw"...

...said Annika to my hubby when he walked in the door from work. She had spent the day with me and I will agree that we had a wonderful day!

After I picked her up and we got back to our house we went outside and "played" in the beautiful fall leaves. Err...rather she played and I took photos. lol. She was "decorating" around the yard with the leaves. Here she is trying to stick leaves in holes that she found in the tree.

SUCCESS...little stinker. They were still intact on this tree yesterday and she was here Wednesday.  I just love to watch her play till her hearts content.

She asked me what this hook was doing on the tree. It was still there from our hanging tomato plant last year so we hung a pumpkin. :)
She found this *nest* of sorts in the house on the back porch and thought she should take it outside too.

She was being silly here. She asked me to take a picture of it on her head. :)
Pretty hair for a fun day. At one point we hopped in the car and went to the pumpkin patch up the road a mile or so and she had fun helping pick out more little pumpkins.
I didn't think I would get her into the house too easily for lunch, but I told her we could take our food outside and we did. She really didn't eat much as she was still putting pumpkins here and there around the front yard and still decorating with leaves.
When we came inside to fix lunch she found a bag of glittery snowflakes on the stairway and she wanted to *decorate* the kitchen. At first I said, "We don't want to put those up yet because it isn't Christmas time, but then I thought what in the world would it hurt so I told her she could go ahead. Her little face lit right up. I thought she was going to put them all on the kitchen door, but she decorated the kitchen and back porch. Most of them are still up too. I don't have the heart to take them down! :)  I have snowflakes on my washer, dryer, back door, kitchen door, stove, cupboards etc. She never stopped until she was all done and THEN we went outside for lunch. I was not surprised when grandpa got home from work and she met him at the door and said, "I had the most wonderful day ever paw paw". LOVE IT!!
A tree in our yard...these got in the wrong order again. Oh well.
Standing in my yard looking out towards the woods.
Annika and I found Godzillas leaf!! We found two of these huge leaves and couldn't believe how big they were. The leaf beside it is a regular size maple leaf.
I had to share about my little sweetie today.  I just love to watch her play and have a fun day. Isn't that what grandparenting is all about?? :)
