911 Call -

This photo is my daddy whom I love very much.
(at my niece's wedding three years ago) ~
Got that dreaded phone call at 11 pm from mom
last night telling me that she had called 911
because my father was very sick.
They only live about 8 miles away so of course we flew out there.
Watched them load my precious father in the EMS unit ~

We got home from the hospital at 4:30 this morning.
He had a heart attack.
They put three stents in one artery and removed
part of a clot.
He looked so much better and was talking to us
before we left. He even was laughing and told us
to go home and sleep.
Thank God for doctors and their gifts of a healing touch.
I am not ready to lose my father.
He is my hero, my rock and I love him so much! Please say a prayer for him today~
Blessings~

Dearest Sandi,
Prayers go up for you all. I went through this with my Dad several years ago. I know the cold fear you get when the phone rings at night. I also know the ice cold fear of the final call.
I know I don't have to tell you this but I will anyway. Hold him close like you can't ever let go.
Love You My Friend,
Marilyn

Having aging parents is so frightening... I am so glad your Dad only had a scare, and is doing better. Hopefully you will have him around for many, many years to come!

Sandi-I WILL say prayers for your precious dad. I know how you feel because my mom has been unwell off and on for 3 years. I have received that dreaded call more than once. And like Marilyn above, I know the ice cold feeling of the final call (June 4, 2009). It's true that doctors can do amazing things. Your father is already on the mend.
