These feet were made for walkin...

and walk they did...
in Hillsdale, Michigan today

Remember last year when I showed you pictures
that I took at the Hillsdale college arboretum? Here we are again today...
only a whole month earlier!

aren't these trees just gorgeous?
I love the gazebo too!
We saw some young ladies all dressed up and
some young men in white tuxedos so I wonder
if there was a wedding about to take place.
I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted to
because it was just too cold and windy. Lucky to get the ones I did. lol.

I think these may be weeping cherry trees
a nice place to stop and take a rest
whatever these trees are... I love them!
Hillsdale is one of the most beautiful towns I
have ever seen and I am so glad I live close by!

If I had to live in town I would pick this one.
It is full of beautiful old victorian homes.
Believe it or not this is the front of the hospital!

Beautiful trees in the hospital yard.
I love this beautiful old church too.
The stained glass windows in it are amazing!
Hopefully someday I can get pictures of them too.

Hillsdale College campus
One of my favorite houses on the main street
I would love to live here!
Another house right beside the previous one
This street is just lined with architectural beauty
and hundreds of flowering trees in spring!

When it is flower planting time the garden club
donates beautiful hanging baskets that
line the streets. They are so beautiful and lush
it is breathtaking.

The ideal small town to live in for sure!

Happy weekend! Blessings~

Looks like Hilldale is one of Michigan's BEST KEPT SECRETS..we use to travel up thru Michigan on 69... for about 25 years on our way to Canada..to our friends cottage to spend a week with them.
But we never stopped in that darling little haven.... I am sorry to say.
Sure sorry we missed it all those years....we live in Texas now..so it looks as tho I will have to visit it thru YOU.
SUCH a precious little town that is. DO GO BACK and take more pic's soon.

Thank you for bringing it to our attention.

what gorgeous photos! I adore that stone gazebo...wonderful place. Hillsdale is not too far away from where I live...but honestly I can't say I have ever been. I hear that the antique mecca of Michigan is near there (Allen?) but that was years ago. Maybe one day I will take a day trip this way. thanks for sharing!

Oh I could live here Sandi. So do you want to rent a house and you and hubs could share with me and hubs? We'll find one big enough to make us all happy!
Seriously though, towns like these make me happy to see. Thank you for taking me along to see this beauty.
I loved your post about your magazine hoarding, I am glad you have found such a pretty solution, I however am still having a hard time giving them up yet.
I will bw moving a lot into the studio though, so I can free up space in here. lol

Thank you so much for this trip down memory lane! I am from Ohio....several of my high school friends went to Hillsdale. I wanted to go there so bad, but it wasn't in our financial realm. Hillsdale is a beautiful place!!
