Do you ever wonder...

if what you are doing really matters...
if you are really getting anywhere
or if you are just spinning your wheels.

if you really know what you are doing... or if you just think you know. {that one gets me every time}

if your creativity really is that... or is it just a repeat of others, with your own twist.

I actually told hubby that some days
I think we would be much better off
if I would just...
quit buying all this stuff...
to create more stuff...
to hopefully sell the stuff...
that I create!!

{Whew...that is almost a tongue twister!} He has always been my biggest fan .

"what would you do if you didn't do this?"
"well , I don't know...I am supposed to know???"
He reminded me once again that I would go crazy
with nothing to do and would have to find something
to keep me busy.

Oh dear...he knows me soooo well! I guess I will keep plugging along ...
at least for now...

Happy creating and happy WW!!

This is a "different" WW post, but this is one I

wrote up last week and with all that has been going

on posted it for today because after all...

it has WHITE in it. lol.

{Check out Faded Charm for more WW posts}

Blessings~

I love your background, so pretty! I quit my job in a hospital Dec. of 08 and have been just hanging out crafting at home since then. I do feel useless sometimes but, like you, my husband is always so encouraging:)

Sandy, we all at some point ask ourselves the same questions. To me the most important one is if I'm content. I do not want to loose the joy that "the gift" have brought me. Can you see yourself doing something else? You may try, but my guess is you will be right back to what you love. I rather take less money and do what I want. I send off every piece of furniture, every creation with blessings and well wishes. I love the chance to meet lots of people. It is a give and take. They have blessed my life and I have been able to share my faith with so many of them. I will not trade that for any money in the world. On days that I find myself uninspired I get my magazines out or hop in my car and go I visit the ladies that inspire me. Sometimes I just stay still, and listen to God and my heart. I hope that you get your grove back, and honey, you are very talented. I bookmark your blog separately because I love what I saw. Blessings , Marta.

I don't really wonder if I am spinning my wheels, I pretty much know that I am, LOL.

Yes, what would we all do! I think Craftymarta says it well, to me the most important one is if I am content. PRICELESS! Jane

I love this bicycle! Been thinking of getting one for my yard...which ties in with what you said. I often wonder if I'm really all that creative, or just good at copying & twisting. I think the key is in our own personal touch we add to what we make! You are inspirational, no matter what, copy or original! Keep up the good work! And we'll all keep coming back for more!

Have a great day!

without people like you there would be more things at the dump. people like you see the beauty, and the hey that would be so cool if it had a touch of this or that, paint here, some glitter there, a flower here. done with love :) u recycle things and allow them to be used again! the creative side you add is yours and yours alone. we look at things that other people have done and sometimes add to it, but thats still your touch. the every day things we use daily are the ideas of other people and if other people didnt add their creative touch there wouldnt be advancement in our world. dont get me wrong anyone taking something and making it exact and placing your name on it is theft, but i dont see what you do in that way. its you, your touch:)hope that make sence. you have a wonderful husband. my husband encourges me too.
blessings,

Hi Sandi,
We all feel this at times (at least I do too). I love being at home, creating, and buying for my little store. I remember how I didn't like my office job and love what I'm doing now. The down side is the loneliness of not having human interaction each day, but depends on whom we are chatting with right? You create beautiful things. We are our own worst critics, it's true... just think, would you say to a friend the things in which you say to yourself at times?
Happy White Wednesday, love that bike!

Sandi... I so hear what you are saying... I have decided as you know not to do the buying.... I was selling on ebay and I was keeping really close track and found I was actually loosing money.... With the running around in gas and redos and then what I wasn't selling started stacking and now I am about to have another final sale to part with such items... Many of them very nice but I can only use so many things.... I have so many things I truly love and really don't want to part with and really don't have money to spend going searching anyway.. I am content to do just some scrapping and card making now and then... Right now with having the outside to care for it seems I may have more than I would really like... Ok I wanted sunshine but this 89 degrees in May is not right either... I don't take heat well...

Wonderful news about your father. I hope he takes life easy while he is healing. My sister took my Dad home to his farm for the summer. It is sooo quiet here, I really miss him.
I will try to do some more projects to keep me busy while he is gone.

Well Sandi, I don't consider myself an artist per se, I see myself as a homekeeper and gardener, but I do know that what you create is making a difference for me. It inspires me to want to try new things and be a little more than a homekeeper and garderner!
And besides what else would you do???hehe

Very insightful, I think you verbalised how we all feel at some time or another, for me it's usually when I need a good night's sleep! Everything looks a little better in the morning! But being creative isn't just something we do, it's a part of who we are and what defines us.
By the way, looove the white bicycle:-)
