I don't intentionally spoil my grandkids...

...it's just that correcting them often
takes more energy than I have left.
~Gene Perret

I snagged these photos from my daughter. My son-in-law took them at an estate near their home and I love them!!
Candid shots of my sweeties.

This is Joshua...he had to be propped up. :)

Allysha ~ our first grandchild and she is 11
years old already!

Perfect love sometimes does not come
until the first grandchild.

Love this photo!! {mommy snuck in there too}

What a sweetie!

Can I get down now?

Enough already!

I sure hope we are almost done, don't you Jon?

I will leave you with some wonderful grandparent quotes:

I wish I had the energy that my grandchildren have -
if only for self-defense.
~Gene Perret

My granddaughter came to spend a few weeks with me,
and I decided to teach her to sew.
After I had gone through a lengthy explanation
of how to thread the machine,
she stepped back,
put her hands on her hips,
and said in disbelief,
"You mean you can do all that,
but you can't play my Game Boy?"

What a bargain grandchildren are!
I give them my loose change,
and they give me a million dollars' worth
of pleasure.

Have a blessed Tuesday~

Lovely photos, I would have snagged them also. Love your quotes. Especially the sewing one. My sister and I were just saying, we can't imagine not having a sewing machine, let alone a needle and thread. But alas, my nieces don't. My sister loves to do a perfect hem, and is often doing them for our niece, she's very tall and always needs to let down her pants/skirts, but this last one she said was just a couple of stitched and she had no idea where to begin, time for an in-service I say, we both say. I remember my sister in law giving me a pair of overalls for my son, and I wondered why I had never seen them on my nephew, a button was missing! can you imagine. We obviously have too much money. Do teach your granddaughter to sew even if it's only a button. I'm thinking of developing a program called "survivor sewing". And then I'm going to learn to play Nintendo.

Wow...took me a long time to be able to find the link to post...it's my old eyes I guess that are failing me.
Your granchildren are such a joy to behold....if that little one was a cake...I would eat him up in one sitting. WOW...what a wonderful, darling, sweet face he has.
** I am a retired children's photographer..and I KNOW great faces when I see them !

Oh so love your "grandmother quotes" ..they are 100% true and a delight to read.
Must save some of them for my other grandmother friends.

Our OLDEST grandchild in now 25 years old....breaks my heart.
And the other two are 23 year old twins....they ALL live in other parts of Texas...I cry about that at times.
They grow up WAAAAAAAY too fast.
Did not like the "empty nest syndrome" the FIRST time around..and like it even LESS this time.
