More Altered Bottles

I made a few more altered bottles and am so enjoying it again.

This one has a genuine piece of an antique ledger inside the envelope dated Jan 3, 1894.
I don't have very much of this ledger paper left, but I love to use it in special projects.

I love to leave the lace in the shape that I found it in. I feel it adds so much character to the piece.

I added a tiny collar to this bottle along with a vintage clip on earring.

I have listed these bottles in my Etsy store along with my previous ones.

I hope you enjoy your Wednesday! I will be staying in because Sandi did what she does best last night.

"FALL DOWN...GO BOOM!!"

It was dark outside and was in a place where the lighting wasn't so great and I totally missed the last step
coming down off a porch. My body gyrated this way and that way and I finally ended up on my butt...
after twisting my ankle/foot.  It is a little swollen and sore ,but thankfully it wasn't worse.

Linking up today with Becky over at Timewashed for Blissful White Wednesday.
Thank you Becky!!

Altered Bottle Fever ~

{update: this bottle is SOLD}

I have been working on altered bottles again and I think I will be making these for awhile as long as I can find the bottles.
I have been selling them as fast as I can make them and I thought I would put this one on here before adding it to my Etsy shop. I am also thinking about
starting a blog just to sell the bottles. This one has a tiny hint of glitter on the cheesecloth. I have also used antique ledger paper dated Jan. 11, 1894 along with other embellishments.

If anyone is interested in this one just email me.
(it stands approx. 5 and 3/4 inches high)
It is 24.99 plus $5.00 shipping.

I love how this one turned out ~ Blessings~

Vintage Goodness ~

I love antiquing~
Show me a thrift store or an antique store
and once I go in you may never see me again.
Okay, I might come out once in a while
to eat, but otherwise forget it ~
Loving antique buttons, laces... Ribbons...
Pottery...
Books...
just about
anything
old~
I fell in love with the lace covered mason jars
that Robin Brown had at her wedding.
I thought I would try it.
I didn't want to glue the lace
on the jar in case I want to use it for something else.
I can see these hanging on a porch
looking so pretty at night time all lit up.
Have a "vintage goodness" kind of day today.
Blessings~

Simple Lampshade Embellishment ~

Things of *BEAUTY* are to be shared and enjoyed and not hidden away ~ I was thinking today how much antique lace I have just laying in piles away from the unseeing eye and I realized I MUST get some of these out to use everyday.

This piece of lace was just the perfect size to lay around the top of my lampshade. I took a beautiful ribbon rose pin that I purchased some time ago from Meadowstreet and I pinned it to the lace. I absolutely LOVE the look ! I am finding myself drawn to more creams, taupes, and browns. They have such a calming effect on me. I think I may be moving away from so much pink...did I say that? Never thought I would! ~

Erica embellished this pin with seam binding ribbon, antique buttons and a tiny key charm...too cute!
This was just a simple embellishment , but it made a big difference in my living room. Have a beautiful day. Blessings~

Creme de la Creme Treasures ~ Kits

I have been having fun putting together a few kits for my Etsy shop. I started making these yesterday and I sold one right after I listed it so that was neat. This kit has all vintage/antique trims in it and I love how it turned out. Have a wonderful Saturday ~ Blessings!

Victorian Christmas Ornament

I wish my camera had better close up features because you can't really tell how cute this tag is. I created this today using a free image from Dawn over at The Feathered Nest (http://the-feathered-nest.blogspot.com/) and I thought it turned out so cute. I can see several of these on a tree decorated in vintage style. You probably can't tell from the pictures, but there is glass glitter on part of this tag and it just sparkles. I also used a vintage Merry Christmas out of an old Christmas card. I will be listing this in my Etsy store and will be making more with different images. Have a blessed day!

I was playing around with my vintage patterns one day and came up with this original design and I really like how they turned out. I have sold several of them on my Etsy site so be sure and check them out if you like vintage sewing items. Have a wonderful day filled with unexpected blessings! Sandi
