Laundry Room Part 2

I thought I would show you the *rest* of the laundry room/
back porch. This is the room we enter when coming in the
house. I absolutely LOVE my tile floor. Favorite floor in
the whole house. Hubby and son did it a few years ago and I could not be more happy.
{you walk in the door right across from my $2.oo chippy
white vanity...need hubby to make a drawer for it...
it's on his *to do* list. lol.}

We need to put some finishing touches on parts of the room yet.
Like fill in with wood behind the washer and trim off the one
end of the shelf. Finish the baseboard trim ...etc. etc.

Sure wish I had before pictures of this room. There was a
large window behind the sink/washer that you could see into
the bathroom! I don't know what they were thinking. It
also had ugly paneling as did a lot of this house so we
drywalled and painted and it looks much better.
We are definitely *do it youselfers*!

I wrote the names of my peony starts that my bff

gave me a few weeks ago on my chalkboard

and they are still there.

We put our old bathroom vanity and sink out here several years ago , but it needs replaced. Keeping my eyes peeled at garage sales...by the way LOVE my sink out here to save the grimy dirt from coming in the house.

Looking out my kitchen door which is off to the right of the vanity.

Still loving my chippy wicker barstools that I found last year. My laundry soap, bleach jug etc. are in the tote on the wheeled cart. {another $3 find from the Goodwill}

Now this is interesting girls. I think I have told you before that this house has almost NO storage, closets, etc. so a girl has to do what a girl has to do. Behind this chippy piece of wood {which I found in the attic years ago} are gallon paint cans stacked up! I put as many behind it as would fit. lol. This corner is looking out my kitchen door and off to the right. I hope you enjoyed your tour today. I have had most of this *stuff* out here for a long time and find the need every once in awhile to mix things up with items in the house so you never know what it will look like. Happy day! Blessings~

Sandi, this is the most charming laundry room I've ever seen. I started blogging 3 years ago, I also started redoing rooms vintage. The laundry room might be next. Thanks for the inspiration.

Love the bar stolls, great find.

Sandy I'm having Laundry Room envy ...LOL !!

It's Beautiful ..what a way to do laundry ! Ours is stuck in the garage ..luckily we're only renting now ..I'm going to dream for one like yours !

Oh I was thinking when you said you would have hubby make you a drawer for your vanity ..that if you cut a piece of hardboard the size of the inside opening ...to make a solid bottom ...and painted it too match ..then you could add a sweet wire or wicker basket which would be cute too ...Just a thought !

Wishing you a Beautiful week ...

Blessings ..Sara

Looks great to me! A whole room dedicated to laundry makes the whole process much more enjoyable. Around here, no space for washer and dryers most of the time and certainly no storage. So we have lots of cupboards and dresses and shelves. Hope you are having a great day. :) Tammy

What a great laundry room!! I've got one of those dinky ones. I love all your white pieces and pretty decorating. Have you considered gathering fabric and skirting the sink vanity? Also you could hang a pretty towel in the drawer opening of your vanity!

Sandi,
What a lovely laundry room! Actually wouldn't mind doing laundry in a room that beautiful, although I might tend to take too many breaks on those nice wicker chairs. You are really blessed to have such a large area, so bright and cheerful. Thanks for sharing.

You have the cutest laundry room I've ever seen. That has to make laundry a little more fun! I really like what you did to the metal candle holders with the glitter--very nice!
