The experiment on my kitchen wall...

...turned out great and I am very happy with the results!

One night laying in bed with my mind going a million miles an hour {as usual} this idea popped into my head. Don't have a clue from whence it came, but at any rate it came and it was there to stay. This is my french style script wall...I love how it turned out. What do you think?? I tried to take pics along the way {some are not very good at all} so I can share the tutorial with you.  Hopefully I can do that soon.

I wanted a statement wall that wasn't like all the others in the room and I think I achieved that look. :)

Still loving it...:)

I found this lone peony yesterday on one of my bushes. It was the only flower this year I think so I picked her, named her "Luscious" and brought her inside for a photo shoot.

I added some old bottles around her and start snapping away.

These photos are probably kind of redundant, but I think they vary a tad bit. lol

I really need to learn how to concentrate on all the little details when taking my photos. You can't even tell that the number on the peony jar is *82*. Working on that in my head. :)

Please do tell me what you think of the wall. The picture isn't the whole wall because there is above the window yet off to the right and then down the other side, but I got it all done!! YAY!! A labor of love I will say and I sure love it. Will be working on window treatment next and not totally sure of that so keep tuned for further updates. {lol}
Happy weekend!!

{still LOVING my high speed!!}

On a roll ~

I have been on a roll lately, churning out altered bottles left and right so today
I am taking a break. The one above is one of my favorites. I know...there is COLOR
in it and not my typical neutrals, but I still love it.

It is embellished with genuine old lace, vintage velvet and rayon ribbon, part of an
old valentine, rhinestones and the word "friend" cut out of an old songbook.

I adore the old velvet ribbon. This was a labor of love because I truly wanted to keep
every piece of the velvet for myself, but I decided to put one small piece on the bottle and
I think it is perfect.

I always love to embellish bottles with Paris themes and this one is no exception.

I sure hope that I get to visit this beautiful city someday. :)

With Valentines day just around the corner, I used an old valentine on this one along
with old music pages and vintage lace.

Innocence...what a beauty. I have had this bottle and the Paris one half done for literally
months and it was time to finish them. This one has part of an old ledger on it that is dated
in the 1800's.

{All three of these bottles are already sold}

I whipped up this little love potion bottle yesterday.

I must get back to creating soon, but for now I am taking a break. How about you?
What have you created lately?  I would love to hear about it.

Route 127 garage sales

I thought I would show you a few of my finds when
hubby and I went to the hundreds thousands of garage sales
on 127 this past weekend. Actually, we didn't even come close to
hitting thousands. We stayed in Ohio and didn't even make it through
that state. lol.

I will say as far as the many miles we traveled almost everything
I found was close to home. Next year I am staying in our neck
of the woods.

I found gobs of clay pots. Most were 5 and 10 cents, but I did pay a quarter for the
six larger ones. They weren't priced so I offered the lady that much.

Lovin the chippy white paint on some of these. I haven't had time to clean them
off so you get to see them with cobwebs, dirt and all. :)

I found another crown jar at the antique mall where I frequent for $2.00.

Fell in L.O.V.E. with this french bottle

Don't look closely because this is inside my potting shed that still needs a lot of work,
but see these three white posts? I scored these for FREE!

along with this amazing old screen door.

Can you believe that I was the lucky person to score these?
At first I was told someone else had spoken for them and then
I was told to come and get them. YIPPEE!!
They came from a 120 year old farmhouse. Can't wait to do something
with them...I know hubby can't wait either because
he always gets pulled into my schemes. lol.

Did you notice my new header and larger pix?
I had Karen work on my blog and I think she did an
amazing job.  This is my first post in the new format and
I think it is going to work ...even on dial up. yay!

Joining Kathleen over at Faded Charm again for White
Wednesday this week.

Paper butterflies & lavender

Just can't seem to get enough of lavender lately.
I am somewhat allergic to it so I have to work
with it in a very well ventilated room or better yet
outside, but I love it.

The day I took these pictures the lighting
was horrible. It was a rainy, gloomy and dark day
so I am surprised that they turned out even
half way decent.

I added some more lavender to a few bottles I
have and I love the look. I also made a lavender
tag using an image from the Graphics Fairy.

up close and personal...:)

One day last week I made a bunch {flutter} of these
paper butterflies to hang from the top of my booth on
fishing line so they can fly around. I haven't gotten
them up there yet so I decided to add them to the
pictures. Love them!

Did you know that a group of butterflies is called
a flutter? I didn't. {My DIL told me} I think it is
amazing at my age that I am still learning new
things.

Hoping you are having a wonderful day today filled with unexpected blessings!

Makeover fun for White Wednesday

In trying to find something to post for
White Wednesday
I seriously thought maybe I should post
a white bleach bottle!! lol.
OR maybe *the man* pouring bleach out of the bottle...

{okay enough of that...we will get off the bleach subject.
although I will say it is slowly dissipating...thank God!}

This is my latest makeover. I sure wish I had
remembered to take pictures before I remade it.

I picked this spice rack up at a garage sale last
Saturday for $2.00. It was full o f spices and
each jar had a spice label attached to it.

When I saw it I immediately thought
it would be great for glitter.

When I got it home, I dumped the spices,
soaked the labels off and decided for now
to put buttons in the jars.

They really do hold a lot of buttons! Each jar stands approx. 7 inches tall and overall it is approx. 14 inches high.

Another simple project that yours truly could handle. Please visit Kathleen at Faded Charm and see many other White Wednesday posts .

Blessings~

More Creation ~

I don't know about you , but I have so many things going here at once
most days that sometimes I don't know which end is up!
I should have learned by now to do one thing at a time! LOL
I did get these altered bottles finished yesterday (well mostly finished...
the small one needs some bling where the cork goes yet),
butI am in love with the largest bottle~
Don't you just love this fabric backdrop? I purchased this a few years ago at an antique mall. It is just a fabric covered board approx. 19 inches wide x 57 inches high.
I am also working on bridal shower decorations this week
so I am staying busy and keeping my house a mess! Have a wonderful day! Blessings~
