Happy Valentines Day and a WINNER!

I wanted to pop into blog-land and wish you all a

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

I know it isn't until Saturday, but who knows what I will be doing then so I thought
I would tell you now.

Also, friends...please spread the love!

There are so many people who are hurting from loss of  a spouse, family problems, job loss etc
and a little kindness goes a long way. Often it is the little things we do that help cheer up a
broken heart. A heart that has been battered about in life's storms and seemingly sometimes
there is no end. God loves each and every one of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers!

The winner of my Valentine Giveaway is Diane from AUGCOTT blog. I have been in
contact with her and the winning goodies are ready to head out tomorrow. She has recently
lost her beloved, so if you could drop by and give her a word of encouragement I know she
would really appreciate it. Thank you and God bless!

I Wonder...

Do any of you artists ever have days when the creativity just isn't flowing?

I love to create...
I love to dabble in this and that
and
I even make things periodically to sell...
but...
I have been in a slump lately.

The creativity is just itching to get out even as I sit and type this.
I want to be making something...
creating anything...
wonderful,
but what...

For now I will continue to ponder and I will share these lovelies with you~
I love vintage postcards with scripture verses on them.
Imagine my delight when I found not one , but four this past weekend.
50 cents each...snatched them up right away.

I like to think I am stimulating our lagging economy with my $2.00 purchases here and there, but I highly doubt it. LOL

This verse is for you (MG)...praying for you.

I think I made the resolution on these high enough so that if you right click on them, they will get larger and then you can save them to your computer.

Blessings ~

Easter Reflections ~

by Helen Steiner Rice

" With OUR EYES we see
The beauty of Easter
as the earth awakens once
more...

With OUR EARS we hear
The birds sing sweetly
to tell us Spring again is here...

With OUR HANDS we pick
the golden daffodils
and the fragrant hyacinths...

But only with OUR HEARTS
can we feel the MIRACLE of GOD'S LOVE
which redeems all men...

And only with OUR SOUL
can we make our 'pilgrimage to God'
and inherit His Easter Gift of ETERNAL LIFE ".

Embrace His precious gift today...

Birds in Winter

A couple images for those of you who are bird lovers and I know there are a lot of you out there. Aren't these pictures amazing...especially the cutout one of the bird and rose. Absolutely lovely! These are ones that I paid a whopping 25 cents each for at an antique store that is going out of business. They are closed now until March because it is a huge ( and I do mean HUGE) old building to heat. I look forward to going back in the spring and finding some more goodies. I am hoping the very old bird nest will still be there that was 1.00 and I forgot to pick it up the last time I was there .I didn't remember until I was almost home. *sigh* Blessings!
