Happy Birthday to everyone out there in blog land who is celebrating a birthday today! I just had to share this adorable vintage birthday card from my stash. As I have stated before I just love vintage greeting cards, postcards and any other pretty vintage paper items and this one is just too cute! It is so adorable with it's little chubby birds sitting on a music note.
Initially I scanned this card so I could share it with you and the foil music note turned out real dark, so I opted to go this route. (If anyone out there wants me to post it scanned so you can copy it please let me know)
If you can imagine this card was included in a HUGE box (and I mean huge) of hundreds of vintage greeting cards that I purchased at an antique mall a few years ago for $12.00. I am thinking there were 300-500 cards in that box if not more. I was like a kid in a candy store as I took out each beautiful card and my head was filled with thoughts of who sent it, what were they like etc... I think that was a once in a lifetime find. I since have sold a lot of them on ebay , but I kept my favorite ones and this one is at the top of my list. Have a beautiful day! Blessings! Sandi

Good morning Sandi! I stumbled across this post & your fun story about vintage greeting cards and had to comment! A similar thing happened to me, regarding finding boxes filled with vintage cards (only I found mine at an estate sale several years ago :). As you did, I spent hours sorting through them...wondering and imagining about the lives and loves of those who originally sent them.
Thank you for sharing your experience and the lovely card(s).
It's nice to know I'm not the only person who enters into such flights of imagination :).
Warmly,
Tracey
