Pink Saturday ~ Vintage Treats

This is my first time participating in Beverly's Pink Saturday over at How Sweet the Sound and I tried to come up with a unique idea to start things off. Do you remember playing this game at parties? You put several items on a tray and pass it around for a limited time and then you take it away and everyone tries to remember what was on the tray? That was my inspiration for this post. I hope you enjoy all my vintage "pink goodies" today ~ I have amassed quite a collection of paint chips and one of these days I will think of something to do with them. I love this little pink cat pin...it is from my childhood ~
Gotta love these vintage "BON TON" buttons! Several years ago when I was visiting my sister in Pennsylvania she took me to a Salvation Army thrift store which was known jokingly out there as the "Bon Ton". When I found these buttons sometime later, I just had to pick them up !
Lots of vintage goodness here ~
Vintage pink rick rack, lace and hanky and straight pins ~
Do you remember these pink curler picks from years ago?? I found an unopened package and added them to my collection of vintage goodness ~
I hope you enjoyed my trip down "memory lane" and if you have time today go ahead and study my pictures for a few minutes and then see if you can remember all the goodies displayed! Have a wonderful day! Blessings~

Welcome to Pink Saturday! I love your idea of putting all those pink treasures on one plate. And, yes, they did inspire a bit of nostalgia! Those curler pins remind me that I was forever using the gigantic curlers to straighten out my naturally curly hair while all my friends were trying the opposite to get some body into theirs. The grass is always greener...

I'm 63 and I was never good at those memory games when I was 23, but I'll bookmark your blog and go back and practice. :) I love all your little pink goodies. I remember sleeping at night with those little pink sticks digging into my skull and holding the very uncomfortable rollers in place.

Cute idea...those curlers pins. Immediately I remembered - the pain of trying to sleep on those stupid things!! Great post.

Sandi,
Love all your pink!!
Hey paint chips- are you talking about the ones you get at the hardware store that are to check colors for painting your walls?

if so, I had an idea- how about using them for tags or bookmarks? you know, add some lace or paper over the places that have wording on them?
What do you think?

Entered you in my bird nest drawing.

I'll come back and check out more of your things later.

Blessings.
Barbara Jean

PS What a wonderful testimony to your parents that you always felt and knew that you were loved.
