Sneak peak at what I have been doing...

...a little laundry room makeover.

I forgot that I had two long windows like this until
I was cleaning out my potting shed a couple weeks
ago so I hauled one out, cleaned it up and then
hung it up.
First attempt had me strattling the washer and dryer
and pounding in three nails that went into space!
Not a one of them went into a stud!! Story of my life! lol

So it was off to the store to purchase three drywall
anchors. Seems we have to use them a lot in this old
house. I thought hubby would put them in , but I crawled
up there again and did them myself and they turned out
GREAT!! yay...one for the women!!

I am also doing a little redecorating on the long shelf above
my washer and dryer. I blinged up my candleholders
by adding glass glitter to the outside of the metal cups.

but THIS is my crowning jewel!! ha ha! I know ...it takes so very little to make this lady
one happy camper. I should have added the before photo, but I forgot!
There is a water heater behind this cupboard. I have been wanting to enclose it for years, but
we just never got around to it. The other day I had
hubby cut a door in two and we made this top for it.
I love how it turned out! Still have to put the
finishing touches on it, but it is pretty much done.

{Will try to remember to take photos when everything
is all done and share them with you}

Happy friday everyone!

If tonight you can't sleep...try counting your
blessings instead of sheep.

Hugs~

Sandi,
Love your laundry room makeover! Makes doing laundry so much more pleasant and I really like the hot water heater cover up. What a great idea ~ they are so ugly. I have a folding wooden screen in front of mine, but it doesn't look as good as yours.

Hi Sandi... love, love love your little laundry room makeover! Everything looks so perfect, I would just stay in there and do laundry all day long so I could look at it!... I always have to get the building inspector's permission (Jack) before I hang anything... way to go! Putting in those screw anchors yourself!... xoxo Julie Marie

You did an awesome job. And I feel your pain about nails that go nowhere - happens to be all the time!

Sandi, you go for it. Sometimes I can't believe that I actually wait for husband to do things that I could do myself, but ya know we have to make them feel important.hehe
I LOVE your water heater cabinet! So cool.

Hi Sandi,
I love, love, love that door hiding the water heater! You did great. Our water heater's in my shed (think I told you before) and it needs some hiding too. You did a wonderful job w/your shelf, yes... one for women, way to go!

I've missed you, thank you for all your sweet comments, you are a sweet friend through and through!

G'eve sweet Sandi ~
Catching up! Love your refrigerator dish idea vs. a jar. I'd love getting it also.

Your rusty plant basket is fabulous! You & June have the best ever rustic whites.

Now for that laundry room, it is marvelous! You are too funny! I can see you when those nails went THRU the wall ... did a great job, love the look!

Have missed you ...

Have a BOO-TEA-FUL weekend.
